I am so impressed with Harmon. We moved from Utah and was worried because it seemed like a small town school. However. We've been blown away by the level of dedication and love the teachers have for the students and their success. Education is valued but made fun and accessible so kids want to learn. They tailor the education to where the student is. Kids who are struggling get extra help, without pulling down the kids who are succeeding. Kids who go faster then the class in reading or math, go ahead and the teacher let's them go at a faster pace. Every kids journey is different and this school understands that. For example, phonics is taught through stories and rhymes so it's easier to remember. 5th grade has battle of the books to encourage comprehension. They have dedicated reading levels through the school based on learning level rather than grade. Each student gets dedicated and individual educational support. It is well rounded and kids thrive here! I am so impressed and highly recommend sending your kid here! Truly Harmon is education done right!

If I could put 0 stars, I would. The teacher and staff we have worked with have been rude, disinterested, and evasive. We have had several meetings, all which began before school even started, to try to get our son the help he needs. Despite having several diagnoses, they fought us every step of the way and refused simple things such as sticking a visual schedule on his desk. The entire school and district, to be honest, has failed our son in more ways than I can describe here. What is supposed to be a formative year for education has turned out to be a nightmare and I know will impact our son negatively for years to come. If your child needs any love, attention, or extra help, RUN! You’d be better off having them watch tv or play video games all day than send them here.

Harmon is a wonderful school. Teachers work tirelessly to ensure that students are learning at high levels, and the principal is amazing. She truly cares about every student on campus. I love being a part of the Harmon family.

We have had our 4 children at Harmon for the last 11 years. I am sad that we will only have 1 child left there next year. The teachers are hard working and caring. The strive to meet the needs of all the students, not a one size fits all program like the charter schools. My children have been challenged and were well prepared for middle school and high school. Ms. Beauchene is doing a fantastic job as principal.

My kids have been at this school for several years now and I am very impressed with the quality of education as well as the staff knowledge, caring attitude, and friendliness. The front office staff are so friendly and helpful and they know almost everyone by name. Our family absolutely loves this school and have had nothing but great experiences here!

My children have been at this school since the first day its' doors opened. We have seen many changes but are more than happy with the education they have received there. The staff goes above and beyond being employees, they truly care about each student. I have never seen a principal learn student's names as fast as Mr. Singley. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone I know.

I have been very impressed with Harmon. I have 3 children that attend there and am grateful for such a strong and supportive staff. The principal has been amazing and is very attentive to his students and their needs. I have been extremely happy with my children's teachers. They always make sure my children are getting the extra push they need and desire as they are all high achievers. I would highly recommend choosing this school. Have been very happy with my children's education at this school.

Mr Singley is a great principal. The school gym/cafeteria is dirty. The breakfast and lunches are pitiful. The front office staff is amazing. The teachers are great. The curriculum that they are forced to teach is not the best, but there are charter schools in the area that you can choose from. If your child is not white, then don't consider the charter schools. They will feel more comfortable at Harmon or Ellsworth as a non-white child. Otherwise, I like Harmon. The parent pickup is nice. The extra curricular activities are better than Combs Traditional Academy, but the curriculum does not "push" your child to succeed. That is something you need to do at home regardless of where your child will go.

My child has an IEP. He is on the autism spectrum. The only reason he attends Harmon is because of the wonderful special needs classes, student ratio and integration into regular classes. He has never been bullied and is treated like everyone else. The program that is implemented is helpful at home and meetings are detailed and comprehensive. If you have a special needs child, these teachers and assistants truly care and help your child overcome. We have made so much progress that you can no longer tell he has speech/cognitive delays.

We've given this school a shot for almost 3 years. It's gotten so bad that we wont even finish the year. The principal is a micromanager with no children skills, the counselor is a buzzword spinning UOP graduate, and the teachers are so overwhelmed that I don't blame them for giving up and acting like spoiled teenage babysitters. The cafeteria food is an unhealthy, disgusting joke; art/PE/music are essentially nonexistent. If your child ever does anything wrong, you can guarantee that she will be BULLIED and called out for her entire time at the school, not only by fellow students at the teachers urging, but also by the teachers and staff themselves. Harmon's idea of education is to keep kids in their seats and hand out worksheet after worksheet or timed tests of rote memorization--sad, considering how absolutely DISMAL their test results are. Heaven forbid you have a child who is not a mindless drone. There is very little hands on that isn't a repetition of the activities the kids have done for years. The PTSO is a nice enough group of ladies, if clique-y, but they're putting lipstick on a pig, an abusive, unfriendly pig who is detrimental to the proper education of any child.

I am excited to have 6th grade at the school this year. All four of our kids will be attending this year. I love the neighborhood feel! Just a few of the things that Harmon does well... Online grades, online behavior reports, AR (Accelerated Reader). individualized teaching/planning based on my children's needs, friendly teachers, fabulous band program. Totally happy there!

We are looking forward to another great year at Harmon. Instruction here is based on the needs of the students. I love the enrichment program they offer for math and reading. All kids are taught lessons first in their home room based on state standards. The teachers then evaluate DAILY how the kids are grasping the required information. Those that need to review meet together to be retaught and practice. Those that have it meet together are are given more challenging material. It takes a lot of work on the part of the teachers and I appreciate the work they are doing. I don't appreciate negative reviews by people who spent 1 week at the school 5 years ago. I don't know why they would feel the need to come on 5 years later and trash the schools rating. I have 3 kids at the school and we love it!

As far as this school is concerned they are very awesome in their special needs classes as I have one that is severely special needs. They are always taking care of my daughter as it was their own! I can't say about the other regular kids because the only one that goes there is special needs but if you have a special needs child in the Queen Creek area. This is the school for you! They have made so many changes to the school and I have never had a problem coming to the school at any time. The special ed teachers are the best that you can find in the area unlike other schools who just throw them in a room and leave them there all day not learning much of anything. I am excited to see what other things they have in store and I know that if you pick this school for your special needs child ( it depends on their needs) I know that I haven't been disappointed. We have a very kind principal that watches out for them as well.

I went to the school when it first opened and stayed there for a week. The school, in its first year was very awful. The academics were very low, I can't say anything about what it's like now because I haven't seen it in so long but I am shocked about things I've heard.
