As an alumni of St. Charles Catholic School, I enjoy seeing my children grow up with the catholic faith. The teachers are fully engaged with their students. This school truly has the potential to increase their facility with proper funding/donations. Regardless, they exceed with their dedication and commitment to give each and every student their best every single day. I look forward to what St. Charles Catholic school has to offer over the upcoming years.

St. Charles Catholic School has been an incredible part of my life for as long as I can remember. As an alumnus, teacher, and now administrator, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing this school from every angle—and it only gets better with time.As a student, I was blessed with a strong academic foundation and a faith-filled community that nurtured my growth. The teachers genuinely cared about my success and my character, instilling values that have shaped who I am today. As a teacher, I witnessed firsthand the dedication of the staff and the vibrant curiosity of the students. The collaborative atmosphere among colleagues made every day inspiring, and I always felt supported in my mission to educate and guide. Now, as an administrator, I see the bigger picture—how St. Charles is truly a family. Our faculty, staff, students, and parents work together to create an environment that is not only academically rigorous but also deeply rooted in faith, service, and love.If you’re looking for a school that will challenge your child academically, nurture them spiritually, and prepare them for a lifetime of success, St. Charles Catholic School is the place to be. It’s more than just a school—it’s a community where everyone belongs. I am beyond proud to be part of this legacy!

I am blessed to have attended St. Charles Catholic School and now have my children attend the school. The teachers are not only exceptional educators, but it is also evident that they genuinely care about each child as an individual making them feel valued and supported throughout their educational journey. Beyond academics, St. Charles fosters a strong sense of community within its study body and their families. There are many options for extracurricular activities such as sports, dance and piano, there is something for everyone to get involved in. I am incredibly grateful for the positive impact St. Charles has had for my family, my son is only 6 but I can already see how his faith is being nurtured as he leans on it when things may not go his way.

We had such a terrible experience at St. Charles Elementary. My son was bullied by every boy in his class, I tried talking to the principal and was told to talk about it with the teacher. Nothing changed. It really affected my son and me emotionally. Unfortunately, I started hearing bad experiences from other people who had children enrolled at this school after i took my son out of there. The school is very clique and nothing is done to prevent bullying from happening. When I told the principal the reason why I pulled out my son, she pretended she cared, but honestly she did not.

I had a bad experience with this school. Bad leadership from Principal, never resolves any issues only pretends that she is interested in setting up a meeting but not resolving the issues. In addition classes and school is old.

The education and spiritual learning they receive at this school is great. I am a proud parent of three children. Two of my kids attended this school from Kindergarten to 8th Grade and have since graduated from St. Charles. They are great students who were well prepared for the challenges of high school because of this school and its teachers. The teachers gave them the tools to excel and become leaders, but at the same time, caring individuals. My youngest daughter is in 1st Grade at St. Charles, and I wouldn t have it any other way. I can have peace of mind while at work knowing she is safe at St. Charles and receiving great values and a great education. Also, the administration and the teachers at St. Charles really care about all the students, and through the years, we all become family. I personally believe a catholic upbringing is very important and this school assists me in building that foundation for my children. I highly recommend St. Charles Catholic School.

My three children attended This school. We drove a 40 minute commute everyday being that we lived North-east of the school. It was worth every minute! They were taught to be respectful, compassionate and great learners. Bullying was never an issue. This school is so proactive that not only do they remind students of the importance of respect towards each other , they actually have a group of students attend workshops at the well known and highly-regarded a University of San Diego where the learn the importance of this subject and then come back to St. Charles and share the knowledge with there peers. It's awesome!!! Although Piano and band are offered on campus, my three decided to play sports. This program was also outstanding!! The academic program is, without a doubt, top quality and the teachers are top notch! The office staff is always welcoming and makes you feel like family. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants their children taught in a safe, caring environment where alumni have had such a great experience that they are often back to volunteer and some have even returned after college to teach.

My Daughter is a 4th grader at St. Charles and has been there since kindergarten and she absolutely loves her school. She has been is encouraged to achieve a high academic standard, to be a compassionate and caring individual, to remember the tenets of her Catholic faith and love and be kind to others. What is great about St. Charles is that because we are a community and as members of that community we take the welfare of every child very seriously. I wouldn't think of sender her anywhere else.

If you don't speak Spanish and you are not from MEXICO don't go to this school! My son was bullied to the point where we had to leave. We are from La Costa and my son was kicked out of almost every clique. This school is very very cliquey! He said he was made fun of because we drive Mercedes and lived in North County. At lunch he would sit by himself because he couldn't understand the Spanish. At the time he was in fifth grade, they were LEARNING ADDITION NOT REVIEWING IT! When he would go to the teachers for help with bullying, they would basically tell the antagonist to stop and that was it. NOTHING FURTHER WAS EVER DONE, NO MATTER HOW BAD THE BULLYING GOT; NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I WENT TO THE OFFICE AND TEACHERS TO COMPLAIN. The Vice-Prinicpal and the Principal lied to us by saying that there is no Spanish spoken on school grounds RULE. THE ONLY LANGUAGE SPOKEN ON SCHOOL GROUNDS, by students, IS SPANISH! This is a HORRIBLE SCHOOL! We moved schools to St. Pius X School in Chula Vista and it has been a great fit! I would give this school an A++! The students are kind, the teachers care and there is a zero tolerance bullying policy. Also, the teachers at St. Pius TELL THE TRUTH!

SCCS is a very diverse school community where students, parents, teachers from many different heritages and faiths come together as one loving and supportive family. SCCS reflects real world diversity. Respecting everyone as a unique and worthy individual who has something to contribute to their school and community is what makes SCCS work. We did not want to raise our children to judge or be judged and the diversity at SCCS has helped our children to not be afraid but to embrace children from different backgrounds than theirs. The Principal, Teachers, Librarian are all experienced professionals who go above and beyond to teach to every child. The teachers truly care about their students and take the time to get to know them. Our sons 1st grade teacher still takes the time to talk with our son in 7th grade. Across the board the teachers and principal come out on the weekends to cheer for their students at soccer, football, basketball and volleyball games. SCCS offers both Accelerated Math and Reading, smart boards in every class, state of the art technology center, library, music, sports program, extremely affordable before and after school care and a hot lunch program.

I've had three children graduate from St. Charles. All three still keep in touch with their SCCS friends as the bond they have will, I'm sure, last a lifetime. They have all taken different paths throughout high school and now even college, but the one thing they all have in common is the strong faith and academic foundation set by this school. It's amazing and we feel truly blessed to have been part of this school. I would highly recommend St. Charles to anyone who's priority is to send their children to a school that has a great academic curriculum and teachers that care about every single student.

I am an alumnus of St. Charles Catholic School. I was lucky enough to attend kindergarten and stay until 8th grade graduation. When looking at schools for my children, none had a feeling of a second home and excellence in education. I knew that I was making a decision that would help mold my children into intelligent, confident and proud Catholics that I want them to be. We visited SCCS campus and I knew that this is where I wanted my kids to spend the next 9 years of their lives. It was the best decision that I have ever made in regards to their education, both academically and spiritually.

I am proud to say I am a Spartan Alumnus. This is the second year I have sent my children to St. Charles and I we are blessed to be here. I have experienced both public and private schools and can honestly say there is a huge difference between the two. My concern with the public school system was the type of learning environment created and exposure to unfavorable influences. St. Charles is the answer to this problem. The staff create a warm and spiritual learning atmosphere. The teachers take a genuine interest in the success of each student. They welcome parent involvement and encourage participation with the school through many different fun events, which allows parents to get to know each other and the children time outside of school to play with their friends, while at the same time supporting the school. It is true that it is a sacrifice to pay tuition, but it is well worth the investment in your child's success.
