This school has been the WORST school I have ever had a child of mine attend. Please, feel free to browse the other reviews here, where some happen to be from actual students who were afraid for their safety. It’s very unfortunate to experience extreme unprofessional behavior and communication from the staff, ESPECIALLY from counselors such as Harold Lewis II. I have both witnessed, and experienced for myself, tactics of intimidation and defensiveness during conversation with students and parents, including physical methods. Any inappropriate behavior from students, such as fighting and bullying, is encouraged by counseling staff, as they do not address these issues in an effective and professional manner. FOR YOUR OWN AND YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY, DO NOT BRING THEM TO THIS SCHOOL. Do everything in your power to avoid enrolling them in this school, as unfortunately you WILL regret it. The teachers are overworked and dismissive. If you have no choice but to send them here and you and your child have to endure the nature of the school’s ability to truly educate, please don’t hesitate to REPORT them, even to the district if necessary. Sadly, they do bank on the fact that working parents tend to be short on time given their work schedules, so it’s best to avoid this school at all costs. Good luck.

I seriously don’t get how some reviews are so positive. I find it weird because coming from experience, this school is severely dangerous. Criminal with pre teens as young as 11 and 12 peer pressured to grow up and become recruited for gang life. It’s immoral because the drama and so called immature “beef” these dangerous teenagers have, is legally unsafe. Not for a he kind and gentle easily manipulated souls. Please please please do not come here especially if you don’t fit in.

This school has been an amazing experience for my son who is going to 9th grade and my daughter who is starting 7th grade the teachers help them and support them through everything they need

This school is awesome. I am piko nerry and every day is super fun. Even those there is a lot of fights it still is cool

Horace Mann is an very awful school to go to. It has to many "want to be gangsters", to many fights, and the teacher quality is horrible. Almost every day the local police always comes to the school to arrest kids. My math teacher is horrible at explaining things, half of my class is failing because of her teaching skills. I'm in GATE program and it's also horrible, they give to much homework, even during the CST. It takes me about 4 1/2 hours to finish all my homework, even though I'm straight A student, I stress out to much. I recommend not in rolling your child to this school.

I honestly love this school. I'm sorry to hear that some students have had a poor experience but, the majority of the students are having a great time. When a student gets suspended its to insure a safe campus that is centered around learning. I believe I am getting a great quality education. At Mann Middle school, I feel really safe, because the school has caring adults. Mann Middle Rocks it has the best electives, Tech Squad is the best.

I believe Mann Middle is an awesome school because I've been attending here for 3 tears. I'm on the Honor Roll, serve as 8th Grade Vice President of ASB and On Tech Squad. I love this school because it has opened great opportunities for me. Next year I will be attending Health Sciences High and Middle School College.

I been going to this school about 3 years. This school has been a ride. I will be missing this school. The staff here are kind, friendly, and are very help when you are in need. The programs here are incredibly helpful and fun. I wish I could stay here forever and I would recommend this to a friend or a parent. This school has really helped through these three years.

One of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences I have ever had. Students greet me and the teachers are amazing. I think that while I was here, I learned something myself. Amazing!!!
