We are very fortunate that our son was invited to attend this school (lottery program). The admin staff is highly committed and involved. The teachers go the extra mile to ensure that students are following up and completing class activities. The fact that they don’t have tons of homework and most coursework is completed during school hours makes a huge difference in our family (my son has ADHD we had daily battles with homework in the traditional public school setting). I personally love their project-based curriculum and how they foster creativity and problem solving. My only complaint would be that there’s no PE curriculum and all athletic activities are voluntary.

I found High Tech High to be more focused on promoting activism than prioritizing essential subjects like math and reading. Security is a major concern, as the lack of secure boundaries raises concerns about the overall safety of the school environment, as there are no fences to deter the general public from the main entrance. It just didn’t feel safe there!
