ASA is a place where your child is not just a number. They have small class sizes and teachers and staff who really care about your child.

I feel that ASA is a great place to have students educated and nurtured. The small class sizes and student-to-teacher ratio make learning better and more effective. The teachers truly care about the young people in their care everyday. After being involved in public education for many years, I see charter schools as a great choice for those looking for positive change. ASA is one of those great choices.

Another thing I would like to admit to you all this was the hardest year for anyone from principal, 2 teachers, students, parents, grandparents and siblings. But we happened to going through it together and the school was there to help you in any time of need! When you look at the school really good to know the school and the people in it because they're like family and they never stop being your family! And the small classroom are the best because the teacher can really do what I want for each child and they're not overwhelmed by 30 students of 40 students in one class!

I love ASA Charter School. I have worked at many schools but ASA is my favorite. I feel like I am working with family. Everyone is supportive of the students and their coworkers. I feel that the happiness of our staff reflects on our student pride. This creates a truly wonderful learning environment for our students. This is the school that I would send my own children to.

I would have to describe my experience at ASA as phenomenal, the teachers are very good at letting me know how my kids are doing, and the staff is very friendly. At ASA you are treated like family they go above and beyond for all of their students and make sure that they are successful.

One I would not advise anyone to place their children here. Principal sets negative environment that trickles down to the staff.

before we found asa my son had gone to public and then to the county special school. which made it worse. we tried this school as a last resort and it worked! the teachers actually care which public school teachers dont anymore. they have compassion and talk to the kids with respect and demand respect from them. im so thankful for the help that we have gotten from them. great teachers and great principal

ssad to hear bad things about this school...i was at first sketchy about this school as well due to the look of the school, but as i engaged as a parent, which more need to do, i realized this close nit family-type staff is amazing! !! the principal is ALWAYS into something:)..the teachers are constantly involved and know most students by first name. The first grade teacher also has written for and was awarded a grant on the schools behalf. they have also started a garden that the student planted themselves last year in which the food will be added into the students lunch menus!!..which other school is doing this?? the only downfalls are there is no library as of yet but is in the making..and there is little to none parent cooperation. there was a small committee and the girls were awesome but somehow they were the only ones throughout the entire year!! For parents that wasnt to get involved this school is a great place to start!!

ASA is getting many bad reviews, eventhough many people don't know behind the scenes. The Principal works countless hours through her holiday and vacation times to improve the school. Teachers work beyond their hours to prep, grade, improve the school, clean, and do extracurricular activites that they are not being paid for. When reviewers say they only care about their paycheck, it is a one sided view. ASA has had assemblies, a musical, various field trips, and teachers who give 200%. I'd like to see any other "regular" school teacher or administrator do the things they do.
