My son is really happy at vineyard, he’s learning really fast and his behavior has improved a lot. The teachers and staff are great, and They know how to recognize when the kids need more challenges in the learning process. Now he loves music and mathematics.Just an little issue in the bus with a bigger girl trying to bully my son, but it was addressed. My daughter attended 5th. Grade at this school, she changed all the bad study habits she had from the previous school, we are thankful that she was prepared to go to middle school. I really recommend Vineyard Ranch Elementary School.

We love our school and we see my child excel academically.

It was pretty terrible. A big part of that was that my child was not acting appropriately- rather than getting better, it got way worse. We were doing everything we could think to do, but it just got worse and worse throughout the year. Right before Covid hit, I had a great meeting with the principal, VP, and teachers, but I never saw how that would play out because it was the last day before we never went back to school. I hope this coming year will be different. We will continue to do everything in our power to help our child be successful.

Excellent, they have been a Go’s send for are family. The principal as well as the teachers truly care for their students not matters their background. Offering equal opportunity to all.

I have had three students at the school. Each teacher we had was incredible. My three students are very different, and each of their needs was met with the necessary skills and guidance. One of my children did well with little help. Two needed extra help and tutoring. The only negative (if it can be called that) is that because there are so many EXTREMELY talented children at the school, others can feel left behind. My children have never been singled out with awards or accolades, yet they behave well and get good grades (all A's and B's). Were they to attend another school, they would likely be more noticed and receive more awards. This does not concern me, as I know they are getting a good education and I do not concern myself with this type of thing. However, others might not like this. Also, parents are VERY involved. I like this, and try to do as much as I can as well. However, both me and my spouse work, so this can make it difficult to go to every event we would like. Some parent groups can come off as a "click" but I have found that all in all, they are all very kind. I don't personally hang out with parent groups, but only because I don't have much free time. Again, this doesn't bother me, but I know there are some parents who do not like this.

Ms. Gonzales in Pre K is awesome. Great teacher with excellent teaching techniques. Our only concern is how the school deals with bullys, it seems that the bullys get away with no repercussions until parents complaints.

Have had multiple children go through the elementary school at Vineyard Ranch and I would not recommend this school to any family unless - 1) your child is an overachiever, extremely competitive, and is able to be "the best" in a group of "the best", 2) your family has a high income bracket, 3) you have a parent that stays at home and can devote significant time to the school in order for your child to be part of the "cool kids club" (which starts in kinder), and 4) you are willing to start tutoring/extra-curricular learning activities in kindergarten (or sooner). I'd also recommend setting aside funds for a private counselor to help your child deal with his or her anxiety disorder that is bound to come from attendance at this school (unless you meet all of the above criteria and your child has the correct temperament for the environment.)

My daughter is enrolled in the PreK program at Vineyard Ranch. If you have doubts about sending your little one to PreK, I can guarantee you will love the program the teacher Ms. Gonzalez has implemented and her teaching style. She is both the warmest and most effective teacher I have encountered in my experience at NEISD (I have another daughter at Lopez Middle School and who attended Wilderness Oak Elementary). My daughter has learned a lot in a short period of time and talks about what she's learning in school every day. Ms. Gonzalez seems to use every bit of instructional time to teach the students but does so in a strategic and fun way. Both she and Ms. Diaz, the instructional assistant, seem to handle discipline well so I know my daughter is in a safe environment and is being well cared for. As for Vineyard Ranch as a whole, the school seems very organized and the families seem very friendly. The only downside is parents are not allowed to walk their kids to class, unless there is an extenuating circumstance. Maybe an exception should be made for PreK kids since they're so young and might not be comfortable walking to class by themselves. We're definitely going to miss Vineyard Ranch and Ms. Gonzalez and Ms. Diaz next year.

We chose where to live based on this school and do not regret it one bit! This is our second year and I would say this is one of the best schools in SA. My daughter is so happy here; the staff and teachers are all very warm and kind. The new principal is super involved, I see her at drop off and pick up, good to see her out there seeing what goes on. Love love love this school!

We've been at this school since it opened. All classrooms are hi-tech. The school provides a free login ID for each child to use various learning websites and educational apps so the student can use those on a home computer. Bright and cheerful classrooms run by great teachers who care about the kids.

All the teachers we have had the pleasure of meeting have been extremely kind and helpful. They all seem to care about how your child is doing and are willing to go the extra mile to help them if they need it.

Excellent school with caring and knowledgeable teachers! This school is clean, uses the most modern technology, and the front office staff is friendly and helpful. The teachers are genuinely interested in the education and well being of ALL their students -- from those who are gifted to those who have special needs. Unfortunately some reviewers gave this school low ratings based on things that the individual school cannot control (recess time, dual language); these things are regulated by he district and/or state.

After leaving private school, I will be honest. I was on the fence going into the neighborhood school but said I'd "give it a year and see." My child has some developmental issues but is also GT, and I just didn't know if the bigger classrooms with a higher student:teacher ratio was going to be a fit. But man was I WRONG! The teachers and support staff at this school are 5-star. The communication between teachers and also with parents is like nothing I've seen. Whether the kids are having trouble or having a terrific day, they recognize it and are on it! The facilities, afterschool opportunities, GT program, and students here are amazing. I cannot say enough about this wonderful, top-notch elementary school.

Love the dual language program but we are extremely disappointed at the poor planning from the school/district regarding the growth and room capacity for this program in particular. Many families will be forced to move to Stone Oak elementary (the first school built in the area) . Parents of incoming K students with siblings in VR will have to attend 2 different schools. (In 2015-2016 school year the dual language program will open at Stone Oak for incoming K students only). This is a BIG mess and it is making me re-think my commitment and interest in the program altogether. I don't want to expose my child to multiple changes throughout her elementary years and I'm afraid the District isn't ready or prepared to deal with this growing pains. Nevertheless during their last informative meeting they made us feel we don't have any right to be unhappy or complain. Not once have they apologized for their poor planning. Wouldn't recommend joining this program if you are not OK with not being able to provide your child with school/friends/teachers stability during his/her elementary years.

We love the curriculum of our dual language program but disapprove of the schedule. Not sure whether this is similar to other NEISD schools... I'm disappointed that the kids only get 25 mins a day of recess. For a day that starting at 7:30 the kids have lunchtime at 10:30 indoors in the cafeteria with no play time and 25 min recess at 12:30. They have 2 PE classes every week but they are at 8:00 so not really good breaktime for them. A large portion of their day involves sitting in the classroom. Thanks to this schedule my child considers does not consider school too be a fun place. Which is a shame for kindergarten class! The main way all the classes keep kids disciplined is using a big board will all the kids names on it. When a child misbehaves he/she has to go to the front of the class and move the marker from Green to Yellow to Red in front of the entire class. I find this a pretty old-school method of discipline. My child can tell me which kids in his class get Red markers every day.

Its a great school! New, clean, updated technology. Fantastic teachers! Loads of community activities. I'm very comfortable sending my child here.

As with the previous reviewer, I too am disappointed with the increase in kinder classes one month into the school year. Furthermore, when choosing which children move to the new classes, they did not take into account the individual personalities and circumstances of each child. Some children do not adapt as well as others.
