I have two children that attend Freedom and have been very pleased with the high expectations on behavior and academics. There is a good feeling when you walk in and my experiences of the last 2 years have been only positive. The teachers have been attentive to my children and my children love being a part of the school.

My son had attended this school for 2 years. am looking into getting him into a charter school just to get him out. Have had great problems with communication from this school. Went 6 weeks without a graded paper no progress report and late on the report card. This is after I contcacted the principal to find out what was going on. If I cannot get hinm out we will move just to get him out of that school.

The school DOES NOT have any EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITES for the kids to participate in. The only thing I have seen at this school is performances in singing and the little fairs. Elem. School is the time to intoduce kids to sports. This is the first school that I have seen that does not start the kids in SPORTS. It would be GREAT if this school provided such activity. They would learn real teamwork and leadership. It would prepare them for Middle and High School.

Freedom isnt what the other reviews make it seem. I have 4 kids that go to Freedom and they all hate the school. Starting with the Vice-Principal to some Teachers yell to the top of their lungs at these children, and the Principal states they have to yell at the kids to get their attention. They treat these kids like they are garbage and it hurts me so I go to the school and Volunteer just to keep an eye on my kids. Some teachers even pull or tug on the kids shirt just to get the kids attention. I feel the complete staff needs to take some sort of class to show them how to treat these kids. as for Academic wise the kids learn at a good pace, they dont feel rushed. so academic wise I give 4 start.
