Both my children attended Fannin, now their children are currently attending. I love the way this school shows school spirit and instills fun with learning. They have tremendous patience and when I walk through the building I feel surrounded by positive attitude. Fannin is a great school and I can only see it getting better.

So this school has a bad score. A couple years ago the superintendent saw that two schools in this district needed help, this one and one other. She took some of the district's best teachers and moved them to these schools while getting rid of some of the dead weight. She reallocated funding and resources. By the time we got here it's a very decent school. Personally, my son has high functioning autism and adhd. I was super worried about starting him in school at all. To make me feel better the principal and the counselor met us at the front door shortly after school officially started. They walked us to his class and gave us a short tour. Also there was the Positive Intervention Team who followed him on his first day to take pictures for his own picture schedule which is taped to his desk now. His teacher is amazing and when he had a problem with a student the counselor took it seriously and moved the child to a different class. This school wasn't always great but they are definitely moving that direction.
