My daughter goes to Wasatch and we have had a phenomenal experience. The faculty, staff, and community is something I haven’t experienced before. We truly love it and feel supported and cared for!

My children love Wasatch! They are always excited to go to school. We have had wonderful teachers who go the extra mile and really care about each student and meet them where they are. Communication from teachers and administration has been amazing. Wasatch has an arts integrated curriculum all student (K-6) get dance, theater, fine arts, and music. Each class puts on a play and a dance every year. The school and the PTA put on multiple events so there are always ways to meet other families and be part of the community. Wasatch is an amazing school!

We recently moved into the avenues and my child started attending kindergarten at Wasatch elementary. It is a fantastic school! The teachers are truly amazing and care so much about the children. I love the community of parents. My son is always excited and eager for school which makes me happy! He’s learning tons of new, cool things which he loves to share with me. I couldn’t recommend Wasatch elementary school enough!

In addition to it's excellent arts program, the faculty and staff at Wasatch are simply outstanding! From the principal, who takes time to get to know each student and their family, to the magnificent librarian who remembers the interests of the children and reserves books she knows will inspire them to read, and the guidance counselor who seems to always have so much to do, visiting all the grades and teaching them all lessons about emotional wellbeing and friendship, but she still finds time for kids who need a little one-on-one away from the classroom. And I cannot say enough for the secretary. She is the very heartbeat of the school. She keeps all the gears oiled and the parts well-functioning and simply don't know what we would do without her! However, the people who spend the most time with our children and who exhaust the most energy on their learning and social development are the teachers, and we have been through a lot of them at Wasatch! However, one thing that has remained consistent is every teacher's dedication to finding what works for the kids in their class on an individual level through collaboration with families and communicating with children about their feelings and needs. My children have special behavioral needs but I have never felt that I had to fight anyone to have those needs met--their teachers are always just as eager to find a solution that works for everyone as I am, and that seems so rare these days. In addition to all this, the high ratio of male to female teachers at this school breaks gender norm barriers for kids every single day. I never could have imagined a public school that would feel so safe and positive for my children but I truly believe Wasatch has given my children the opportunity to succeed in ways they may never have been able to achieve elsewhere, and I will always be grateful they had the privilege of being Wasatch Stars!

Wasatch has been such a welcoming school to our son since first grade. It has great teachers and people who care about being kind. I also love that they still include arts (music, dance and art) in their curriculum. I live for their annual class performances. We are very lucky to have landed in this special school.

Wasatch Elementry is full of teachers that put the extra effort and staff that care for the children with all their hearts. My child’s self esteem has been built up through their art program. I am so grateful my child has felt at home at Wasatch.

I have two children enrolled at Wasatch Elementary School and we have had a wonderful experience. The teachers and staff are caring and informed. They are easy to communicate with and receptive. The arts programs that are offered at the school allow kids to engage creatively in dance, drama, music and visual art. It has a wonderful school community with fun family events and a lot of engaged parents. It is an absolute gem in the Salt Lake City School District and conveniently located between downtown and the University of Utah.

This is an exceptional school where my kids have thrived. Wasatch Elementary is a unique arts-based elementary school where students not only receive a strong core education but also study visual art, drama, dance and theater from kindergarten on up. I don't think there's any school like it in the state. It has a strong community of students and parents from the neighborhood but also welcomes many students from outside its boundaries. I would highly recommend this school to any family. It's an incredible example of public education at its best.

Unbelievably good arts program, well funded by donations. Strong sense of community and a principal that takes her job seriously. My kids feel lucky to go to that school, they know it is a special place.
