My son went to this school 14 years ago, he graduated in 2014 from East Rowan but was bullied at Erwin the first 2 years and the teachers and staff did nothing about it. They also wouldn’t give my son EC classes even though we had proof from his other school and doctors. He tested one point over on their tests so needless to say we got him tested outside of school and finally got him help but it came to late because he was in 9th grade before he got EC classes. Looking at the reviews I can see that nothing has changed. Still not doing anything about bullying and test scores say they still are not paying attention. Glad my grandkids will not go here.

Was accused of SA and they did nothing about it, my accuser was proved wrong and nothing happened to her, they acted like it never happened and now I have to be cautious in the halls not to even look at the girl so she can’t accuse me, and even if she does nothing will be done about it. There are 2 great and I mean great teachers for their privacy I’ll call them Mr. L and Mr. S they make me feel engaged in what they’re teaching but no others do. Overall bad school

Erwin is a joke!!! They favorite students and then there are students who have a bullseyes on them!!! Some of the teachers don’t even have teaching degrees…just certificates!!! You can tell with their test scores too!!!

My son goes to Erwin. He loves this school and the teachers ,said they are very helpful and nice students are nice and has no problems with being treated bad or bullied, we transferred to school in middle of year. Great School

Since ipads were given to students, parents cannot help with homework, if you get l it to download to start with. Teacher involvement with parents has went down tremendously. It is a popularity contest at this school. The kids treat each other badly. Since uniforms were implemented it's all about your shoes, and frankly I find in this area parents aren't parents and they are raising a bunch of kids who think they are entitled to something. I have never ran across such rude parents and children.

I go to Erwin. Most of the kids count on popularity. Im not popular but i love this school! I think most of the students are nice. There are some mean kids but not many. I also like the respects classes. You learn alot about why not to bully and the types of bullying and all are equally as bad. But anyways i like this school.

Both my son's have gone to Erwin Middle School. My youngest is in his final year here and my oldest now goes to East Rowan High. I have been very happy with this school. The teachers are very compassionate and work hard with the students. I am very proud of what my son's have learned and of their achievements in this school. I would recommend this school to anyone that needs a great school with zero tollerance for bullying and an excellent teaching staff!!

My child goes to school at Erwin Middle School and gets picked on all the time. She gets picked on about what she wears mostly. Her property gets mistreated and she gets called names. I have brought this subject to the superintendents attention. He still has not done anything about it. The only advice they give my child is to just stay away from all the people including the mutual friends. So I do not think that this is a very good leadership program if you ask me. I can say though for this grade that they are in the teachers are better than I have experienced in the past.
