Great school, wonderful teachers. Diversity is not great, I would expect more because of the area it is located. Very good overall.

It took my daughter a whole school year of intervention tutoring, summer school, and half of a second school year to get caught up at her new school. Mission Park should be way better than it is considering it's in what I consider the best neighborhood in Salinas. Teachers weren't up to snuff on common core curriculum and we're just moving kids on to the next grade. Not sure how well they're along now but I felt duped in thinking this was a "great school"

We have loved Mission Park! The principal is supportive of extra programs that benefit the students. Great teachers!

Snarky and rude front office personnel. They act weary and impatient if you seek info. from them. Hey, new principal: this area needs an overhaul!!!

Mission Park Elementary is beyond the top school in Salinas. The teachers that my child has had from k-4th have all been caring and true educators. The children at Mission Park get a well-rounded growth in academics, arts, and sports. The curriculum is excellent! The environment is enriching. Parents and staff are very much involved. Only negative is the receptionists in the office are not very inviting and seem at times very rude (no personalities). The new principle did one meet and greet but since then she is hardly seen. However, the teachers are absolutly incridible. You will be a happy parent to have your children attend Mission Park.

So our school year is off and running. Many changes have taken place this year. Some are just differences and others are leaving me with concerns and questions. What I and I believe anyone else would expect from leadership in a school is greatly lacking. The new principle shows no desire to communicate with parents. MIA is a good way to describe her. I hope that all the efforts to make changes in our district happen. All the schools deserve the best and I would guess that most are not getting it. So sad! Thankfully the teaching staff has maintained their outstanding performances.

This school is by far the best school in the district. High parent involvement, specialized programs, state of the art technology and is cutting edge in all aspects of a positive learning climate. Wonderful, knowledgeable, experienced teachers that are the core for the fabulous school environment. Where the need for improvement is at the district level.

We love this school. My son is in 1st grade and so we have attended two years. Excellent teachers. Very involved parents. Happy and smart kids. Love the environment.

Sad this school does not have greater funding. My child went to this school, but then we were accepted to a different school and district and gladly accepted. What a difference. The office in my child's new school is helpful and friendly and the district is as well. The parents participation is great. Fundraisers are always going on but are very successful and helps keep the programs going on year around. My child's class has a lower head count in class and does not have children coming in and out distracting other kids in class or mixed grades in same class. Also goes full day instead of just 3 hours. Just because there is a lack of funding shouldn't cause the staff to treat you like your not even there.
