We moved here from a so-called great school district in East Coast (that we were not a fan). I have to say, with my experience of my own kids’ past schools and observing many other friends’ kids and their schools, Salida Middle School provides the most well-rounded school experience. Teachers are great at their work. Academic standards here is good and kids are having opportunities doing many interesting learning projects. This school also has great music, art, and sport programs that provide students many opportunities. Also, most importantly, most teachers we know are very supportive and cares about students’ well-beings.

I very much have enjoyed the experience my grandchild has had at Salida Middle School. The teachers there have been very supportive of her and her friends. The teachers are upstanders who strive to make their classrooms safe places, no matter their students' race, religion, or sexual identity. They go the extra mile for their students, spending their own personal time to make sure they achieve. I have always found them to be respectful, compassionate, and caring.

This school has gotten really bad over the past few years, They teach things that are do not involve actual school like transgender and lgbtq things. there are several young students at this school using different pronouns and identifying as gay or bisexual ect because of what they teach. In my humble opinion I don't think that kids that have just hit puberty or haven't reached puberty yet should be concerned about sexuality or gender but the school preaches this information 24-7. The bullying problem has gotten out of hand as well, Many students who don't exept lgbtq are being bullied and harrassed for it not only by students but also teachers and the school is very politically divided and they preach left wing politics to the students in every class. in gym class they make the students go outside and run wearing only shorts and tee-shirts even on days where it is cold and snowing outside, The teacher care little about students with breathing problems like asthma because they refuse to let students carry inhalers with them and won't let students go to the nurse even if they can't breath! I'm thankful my children are no longer going to school here and I would not recommend this school to anybody. Unfortunately this is the only public school in this town so my children do online school. I know several parents have taken their kids out of this school in favor of homeschooling or private school.
