We have been very happy with the school. It has been an nurturing and loving environment for our kids which is very important. Their Gym, Science and Music Specialists are exceptional and put their whole heart and soul into what they do. We have liked most all teachers (my daughter is in fifth now). The kindergarten teachers are especially wonderful. We had a very wonderful experience and we would recommend this school to all families.

I have been so impressed by how the teachers and administrators have pivoted during the pandemic! The virtual learning curriculum was created by the teachers and has been effective and fun fir my student. This has been a less than ideal situation and the school has made the best of it. The principal sends out weekly emails and have been motivating and informative. We are really thrilled by our experience and the teachers we’ve met.

I was once a student of SAP, and I wish I was not, to this day I am struggling to be at grade level for writing and my handwriting is basically unreadable. This is mainly because the school has a issue with too many kids. When I went their it would not be uncommon to have class with more then 30 kids plus my brother who has a learning disability was at first refused help and they did not start to help him until we threaten to go to court. In all the school is overcrowded and that means that some students can fall way behind in some parts of their learning. Some people say that it is the students job to learn but this is just wrong, you forget these are young kids a lot of them don’t have even know what country their in. The only good thing in the school is the science teacher.

Compared to what a school should be, SAP deserves less than ave rating. Primarily, the principal lost her proactive energy and luster shorty after her being hired with illness diagnosis shortly thereafter. Ignored advocacy opportunity in critical areas throughout the yrs. from serious staff conduct issues, unfit curriculum trends, lack of authentic play for child development, more. SAP social culture largely benefits because of parent involvement in the U of MN area but beyond the formalized niceties, larger critical issues ride in the back seat. Most definitely affects the desired outcome and many individual students. Some of whom were not protected from real damages.

Wonderful school. 2/3 of the school tests gifted and talented but atmosphere is supportive and nurturing for all. Teachers are excellent, principle is excellent, parents are committed and caringe. All of the benefits of a private school with no snobbiness or attitude.

AMAZING principal and great teachers, great community-best school hands down that my kids have attended. chose to not move away until kids are done with elementary school
