I attended CPS for many years and I received an amazing education. I loved all my teachers. (especially Mrs George) CPS helped me grow stronger in my faith, build lasting friendships, and shaped me into the person I am today.

CPS provides the structure and family atmosphere that works for anyone. They are strong academically, have a great supporting staff and a strong sports programs as well. The communication from the school keeps parents in the loop and nothing is hidden from plain view. Our kids LOVE going to CPS and have such a wonderful group of friends; we couldn't ask for more than that!

This is a great school. They provide outstanding academics, a caring community, and a great environment for learning. We were not happy with many aspects of public school, so we enrolled our daughter at CPS. I wish we had made that decision earlier! This is a great community of parents, students and teachers that welcomed us. The students are all treated as individuals there, not as numbers in a system. It was amazing to see our daughter flourish in this wonderful and caring environment.

CPS is a wonderful school that we have been privileged to be a part of. The teachers, staff, students and families that make up this school are so kind-hearted and are a true example of what a close knit community looks like. Our son has attended VPK and Kindergarten at CPS and our daughter will be starting VPK this upcoming school year. it is comforting to know that they are in an environment that is fun and safe and where they are academically thriving. Most importantly, we love that God is openly learned about and that prayer is an essential part of their day. We highly recommend CPS!

We moved our children from public school to Cathedral Parish during covid and it was the best decision! Not only do they focus on a classical education, teaching them a love of reading and writing based on actual novels and not FSA centric learning, but they also instill a sense of community and faith. I have never once looked at their homework or tests and wondered what on earth they were teaching and why. The curriculum is top notch and focused. Also, Personal responsibility and empathy for all classmates is much easier to achieve in the smaller campus size, it seems. The teachers care deeply and Deacon is just an amazing person and leader. My kids have grown tremendously both academically and personally in their short time at Cathedral Parish. I really can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. My kids say they LOVE their school and never ask to stay home. If that doesn’t speak volumes, I don’t know what does.

We love this school for our two children that are currently enrolled as rising 4th and 5th graders (our third will go there in a couple of years). They have been students at CPS from kindergarten. They are not only receiving a wonderful education that will challenge them and set them up for future success, they are doing so in a Catholic environment which supports what we are doing at home as well. It is a small school, family oriented, safe and has loving teachers and staff, competitive to schools around us and are supportive of their students. The school spirit from both students and staff, opportunities to serve others, opportunities to be involved in clubs and sports are just a few of the additional reasons we love CPS. Within the classrooms they have access to great resources technology wise, as well as a STEM lab and ability to participate in many different electives. We have experienced and have been very pleased with the partnership and communication with us as parents between the administrative and support staff and teachers. We also love the fact that they are right downtown and have the ability to attend Mass weekly at our home parish, the Cathedral Basilica. Going to Mass together as a school and being a silent witness within our town. We appreciate and respect the expectations both academically speaking and those that are required of students in terms of simple things like the dress code to trying your best, being a good Christian, using the resources available to them as needed and communication. While we don't have children in middle school yet, the standards that are introduced earlier on and then taught as they continue to get older in upper elementary prepare them for a smooth transition to middle school. In listening to friends a few years ahead of us with their children, we will be thrilled to keep out children enrolled through middle school. The foundation; academically, personally and spiritually that they are receiving is priceless. We feel confident our children are receiving a wholesome and excellent (and appropriately challenging) education while supporting the core values that are important to our family. There are more ways than ever now to have your child(ren) attend CPS with many, many scholarship options available.

CPS has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember! Not only did my 3 brothers and myself attend CPS from kindergarten through 8th grade, but now my children attend! My children have many of the same teachers that I did, which shows you how wonderful of a place it is, because many of the teachers have been teaching there for 20 plus years!!CPS is not just a school, but it is a community of faith! My children are being taught things that go hand in hand with our personal family values, God first!! I know that my children are in a safe learning environment when I drop them off in the morning and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I also love that you do not get “lost in the crowd” at CPS. Everyone knows everyone and it’s so reassuring because we all look out for one another! I wouldn’t send my children to any other school and I couldn’t recommend CPS enough! It is truly a special place!!!

Our family moved from a different diocese about 5 years ago. My husband and I toured the school and fell in love with the history, faith, and location. When my kids first attended leaving long time friends behind it didn't matter because they were instantly accepted and included in this beautiful community. The families are loving and supportive of the school and each other. The staff is full of outstanding teachers with many who have spent most of their careers at CPS. I am forever grateful for making the choice to send me children to Cathedral Parish School.

Our son just completed his final year at CPS and we could not be happier with our decision. From kindergarten to eighth grade he was nurtured and kept safe in a caring Catholic community, while also (hopefully) gaining a life long love of learning with challenging academic rigor. We couldn’t speak higher of the compassionate and engaging faculty and the very helpful and responsive staff, other than to say they are a true blessing to our community. And a wonderful community is a great way to describe CPS. Our son was surrounded by supportive CPS parents and a great group of kids, learning the true meaning of kindness, acceptance and friendship. We are truly grateful for everything the last nine years has given our family.

CPS has outstanding teachers who care not only about your child’s education, but also help shape a moral compass for them as well. We have 2 children who attend CPS and highly recommend the school. There is a great sense of pride and community amongst the families.

Both of my children attend CPS. My oldest transferred from a public school in town where I didn’t see her flourishing with a confidence in learning and was being bullied quite often. Prior to switching schools she was a c and below student, within one year of being at CPS with a more rigorous curriculum, I can proudly say she has been on A-B honor roll every single semester and LOVES learning and has such good friends. My youngest has been part of the CPS family since she was 3 at the early education center. In kindergarten she can read chapter books, can do higher leveled math and has incredible social skills. As a former student of Deacon Ott myself, I knew he was going to do incredible things with this school. He and the staff have exceeded every expectation I had. My children love it, the community is welcoming, and I feel so at peace with every drop off knowing that they are in hands of teachers that really care about each student individually. What a blessing this place is.

I went to CPS from K-8th grade and always wanted to send my own kids there. I feel incredibly blessed that I have been able to send my kids here. The teachers are phenomenal and there are quite a few that are still there from when I attended. I love that my kids get Sign Language class and Spanish class beginning at kindergarten. My kids have all needed an IEP for speech and my oldest has a 504 plan (the Catholic schools write their own so it’s called something different). They have been great at accommodating her when it’s needed. We have the best principal too. He truly seems to care for all the kids and hers to know everyone.

Choosing CPS for our son was one of the easier decisions we have made since moving to NE Florida from SE Florida. During our tour of CPS, it was immediately evident that the kids were happy and really enjoying their days on campus. We have to find out that the schools leadership and teachers are second to none. Each and every one of them instills everything one would expect in a Catholic based education. We could not be happier.

All 3 of our children have gone to CPS and we have been very pleased with the formation they have received. We love the small, safe environment and the caring teachers and staff. We appreciate how the Christian values we teach at home are reinforced at school, and we love being a part of a school community with so many wonderful families.

I am a graduate of CPS, I was a teacher for a year there, and I currently have a student there. I can tell you from my experiences as a student, as a co-worker, and as a parent that the teachers here are amazing and follow through. There are teachers here that taught me as a student whom I have had the honor to work with and now see when I drop my daughter off at school. For the many years they have taught, their drive and passion for their calling has not changed. I don’t see the teacher burnout here like I see in other schools. I don’t see a revolving door of change like I see at other schools. I know my time at CPS prepared me for the challenges I faced in the future, both academically and morally. I was an honors student and was able to get a head start in math by taking Algebra in 8th grade. As an adult, I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety, but did not feel like I was ever set back or different from others due to the compassion and support I received at CPS. Teachers are able to give extra assistance and meet kids where they are at. They are also active in their faith communities and parishes, so they walk the walk. As far as faith formation goes, I never EVER even thought of doing drugs even when faced with pressure and recall a time in college where I walked out of a party immediately when offered to try something. I stuck to my faith when I had a boyfriend who wanted to “go all the way” with him, had to explain what my beliefs were as a Catholic, and I managed to save my body for my husband. I was even able to forgive my ex when he apologized and admitted his wrongdoing. The ability to overcome pain and forgive, to overcome challenges, to stay strong in my faith, to be loving and compassionate, and to carry that through life are what you can expect with a CPS graduate.
