Good progress for the parents to involve in the activities of the kids and school progress.

Pros:Ruth Cherry Faculty and Staff are great. They do everything they can to support students. The school is beautiful with lots of space...for now.....All Pro Dads is a great program and there are lots of creative family engagement activities like museum night. The new school layout solved LOTS of the dropoff/pickup issues and runs pretty smoothly. There are a lot of students who walk/drop off. School events are well-organized with all staff present, greeting guests. Teachers communicate with newsletters and on Class Dojo. Support staff are kind and know my children well. They are here because they love what they do. Cons:Too often my daughter has to have class stopped and evacuated due to behavior problems. Teachers do everything they can to support students but struggle with too many emotional challenges and a lack of a quality special education range of services to support students. I think this problem is significantly larger than teacher quality, because there are so many great ones giving it their all. The district needs to step in with more resources to help. Too often my daughter has to have class stopped and evacuated due to behavior problems and she loses out on education regularly. Are there enough support staff to help the students who are struggling so that those children's needs can be met?My kids used to love school but they don't love school anymore. It is a long day, especially for the little ones. Teachers teach to the test and have lots of required benchmark exams throughout the year. I have not seen many interdisciplinary projects or fun, engaging activities. Lots of worksheets. Extra classes if she does poorly on the tests. Homework on top of an 8 hour school day for a first grader is a bit extreme. The school day is very long for young elementary students. Can we stop with all of these benchmarks, map tests and data-driven metrics and focus on instruction that brings joy to kids? After-school clubs and activities are only for older students (4th and 5th grade)Class sizes are increasing exponentially. Teacher and administration turnover year to year is high in this district. The district really needs to plan ahead and think of sustainable plans to address growth as well as the needs of students. It is no secret this district is growing. This district is building the plane while flying it. Parents need to speak up for more qualified staff to support challenging students to improve the education for all students

My child attends this school, overall they've had a great experience. The only negative is occasionally there's lack of communication.

Was not impressed with this school. Administrative staff is not helpful. Teachers saying harsh things to students. My daughter was told dinosaurs never existed. Security policies for this school different from others. Policies should be district wide. Would not recommend this school.
