A great school, with great teachers. I’ve had two kids attend this school. I would highly recommend this school.

I would not recommend moving to Roselle NJ their school system is terrible and mismanaged. The school keeps the parents from being involved. PTA meetings are run by a employee of school and meetings are held during his working hours and not in the evening. If asked why they don't have meetings during the day your are told other parents do not want to be involved. Also, the concerts are held during the afternoon and not during evening hours therefore working parents can not attend. There are several other issues that are not addressed.

This school has improved over the years. The principal has made a dramatic change in the atmosphere. The students are effectively learning and the teachers aid them in focusing on "college, work, and life". Just as students are expected to respect teachers, Washington teachers reciprocate the respect. The school's main focus is its students, which is important in any elementary school. Issues are dealt professionally with consideration of opinions of staff and parents. Overall, this elementary school impacts these students in little, yet powerful ways. Even though this school is not perfect, since every school has their fair share of problems, this school is a great place to build a child's education and character.

I am very proud to share that our mantra is working towards excellence in school (W.E.S.). We strive to nurture our students, meet their needs, cultivate their interests, and help them grow academically and socially. We recognize that each child is an individual and each brings unique talents to our learning community; that's what makes WES so special. At WES, children come first!

This school has a new principal. She is doing a good job. She cares about her students the staff and the parents. It is going to take time to change this school.

My child s teachers are wonderful. He is in an inclusion class. The teachers are organized and help my child to the best of his ability. He will be moving up the LVM soon and I hope that he can have teachers that will treat him and teach him the way they are this year. We have been in this school for over 10 years and love it.
