Rolesville Elementary School is amazing!! Everyone who works there is so friendly, welcoming and encouraging. The Principal goes above and beyond to ensure safety and communicate clearly with families. All of the educators I’ve interacted with at RES are truly so happy to be a part of that community and are so invested in the school and the students. The culture at the school is much like a charter school, where the older students can choose roles to help with various tasks if they want to (such as library club or school ambassadors) and it’s clear they take great pride in their roles. The school also encourages building community within the school with various clubs and school events, but also with events to include parents and families. They also do an amazing job addressing the social-emotional needs of students and families. My daughter has had a great educational experience and goes to school with a big smile on her face everyday! I am so proud to call RES our school!

Rolesville Elementary is a fantastic school! The teachers and staff are extremely caring and knowledgeable. I have two students at the school and what impresses me most is the ability of the school to meet students emotional and academic needs. Teachers and administrators know students' names and really care about them. Additionally, there is a lot of opportunities for students to participate in activities such as chorus, art, reading club, student ambassadors, and more.

RES is a great school and has been supportive of both of my children. No one is perfect and there are always opportunities for improvement; overall they do a really great job. We have a special needs child and a child not requiring services both in typical classrooms and doing well. The school is safe; the engagement of the "watchdog" program is awesome and an added perk to keeping our children safe. Care plans in place for children with specific medical needs; we have been on the receiving end of the seamless care provided by the RES family during a true medical emergency. Their responsiveness and quick actions saved our sons life. The staff truly love our children and treat them like family.

We really love Rolesville Elementary. Our daughter completed all grades there and our son will be in his last year there this fall. Through the years the staff have always done their best for the children, through Covid and normal times. We’d recommend this school to anyone.

We love RES! My children love going to school, they thrive here and coming from Northern New Jersey and literally in tears hating the elementary school there, this was such a relief to us. Family oriented, friendly and supportive staff, if there is a situation it is handled quickly, we feel heard, we feel supported here. My children have done amazing in this school and the ones they have moved on to!

We are so thankful to have joined the RES family this year as my daughter started kindergarten. She has thrived academically and socially with the support of her teacher and IA, Mrs. Mullen and Mrs. Wimmer. Not only have her classroom teachers been excellent, but my daughter also loves all of the specials teachers. This year, a new principal and assistant principal team started at RES as well, and the support they give the teachers and staff helps them to in turn support the students. It really is like one big family. We couldn’t be happier with our experience this year.

Everyone should know who is supervising their children. This school has a new principle in place. Ever since his hire have the problems began. This man thinks is smart to have high school children from neighborhood schools provide supervision for elementary ages kids while teachers take breaks during recess. Never notified 1 single family of this decision. Hence all the physical aggressive interactions during recess. Where are the adults! We don't send our kids to school to be supervised by children and we literally have emotional teenagers providing supervision for kids 6-10 yrs old. Way to go adult. When you confront this leader your meet with a condensing tone and manipulative tactics.

My daughter has attended this school for the last two years. This year we have a new principal and he seems to be amazing! Mr. Soutter is great with communication. I did have the chance to meet with him on one occasion. We receive weekly emails and phone messages regarding changes in the school. My husband and I both have volunteered and the school has made some great improvements. My daughter is in the ECS classroom however, the classroom sizes are really good for this area. I will continue to monitor, but for now, it's awesome!

We have been at Rolesville Elementary for almost 10 years... my youngest will be graduating 5th grade from there next year. We have absolutely LOVED it! All the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. The teachers listen to the needs of the students and the PTA always does SO much and do A LOT for the students & staff. My youngest has an IEP and they have been fantastic at helping her strive toward our goals each year. Rolesville Elementary truly feels like family to us!

Not only does the school fail to abide by doctors notes, as required. But when you bring it to their attention that the doctors note is not being followed, the very next day your child gets in trouble (ever heard of retaliation?).In addition, they are pro-bully. I was hopeful that a new principal/vice principal would bring about a positive change in this school, but that was not the case. My son was bullied in kindergarten on the playground (they admitted to this). I'm convinced he was bullied in 1st grade when he came home with a billiard ball sized lump on his head that resulted in black eyes. They claimed he ran into a pole. No child can run that fast to hit a pole with that much force to create such a large bump and black eyes. What's worse? They covered it up. Mysteriously, cameras weren't working, they failed to document it, you name it. Now, this year, I've physically watched a kid throw trash at him. This kid and my son were always getting in trouble. It's been admitted on several occasions that my son reacted to something being done to him. Yet, the bully NEVER got in trouble, not once!Word to the wise, unless your kid is a bully, their mental, emotional, and physical well being will not be protected at this school.

RES is a positive learning environment where the children are challenged academically, well cared for, and safe. Our children look forward to going to school each day. We can't say enough about the amazing faculty and staff.

I cannot express enough how much of a blessing this school has been for our family and our son! What could have been a terrible experience (due to the many special needs my son has), has been an amazing experience!! He has been there two years and made huge strides in all areas and that is due to the loving, flexible environment that the staff provide! I can’t recommend this school enough...especially for children with special needs!

We have had a wonderful experience at Rolesville Elementary. I have nothing but praise for my kids' teachers, they are wonderful at communicating and truly care for each & every student. The administration is also always friendly and one can tell that they have nothing but the best interest of the children at heart. It's a great environment to learn & grow. I am also very happy that my kids go to school among a diverse population of students.

3 children attend grades K, 1, & 2. Saw such a huge difference in our oldest child. The middle child grew tremendously and we expect our youngest will have the same positive experience. Very strong PTA and wonderful arts classes. My children love it here. Office staff & data manager receive 10 stars from me!

Rolesville Elementary school- my daughter has almost finished her first year at this school (first grade). compared to her last school RES is an average school. last year my daughter learned an incredible amount of things, and this year at RES she seems to be, basically, reviewing everything she did for the last part of kindergarten. reading level is not expected to change(on their part...however we are working with her) and in math the sum and product will never be greater than 20...which was her kindergarten level work. her teacher is not any more friendly than a "hey" when you walk in the class. i am not very impressed at all!
