This school is an absolute nightmare. I couldn’t fathom a more crippling environment for a child to attend school in. As a parent, I am appalled by administration, the amount of bullying that occurs and the lack of teacher communication and presence. It is so upsetting to have to send your child to this school and I will be so relieved to no longer have to.

My stepson moved here with us from Florida and he has grown so much academically since he has been here. I give a lot of the credit to the school because whatever way he is being taught is working great for him. Thank You!!

I would rate my experience with this school as overall good. Loved my daughter's kindergarten teacher. Her 1st grade teacher was ok. Her 2nd grade teacher is good. It is unfortunate that CFE had lost one principal and now they have a new one. From what I have seen he maybe a great addition to CFE. The car rider line I wish was better. They only have so much they can do in regards to that. It takes parents, teachers and students to work together to lend a hand in our children's learning.

Pretty good school but too much turn around in the principal position. Front office is not always on top of anything. Nor do they like awnsering the phone.

This school has decent teachers but the front office staff is rude and not very helpful. After school programs are poorly planned and very unorganized. The car rider line is an absolute joke and is twice as slow as it needs to be.

CFE used to be a good school but has gone downhill the last couple of years due to changes in administration and Pender County BOE. The administrators are rarely at school. When they are there, the principal is not involved in the day to day operations of the school and does not communicate well with parents and staff. As a parent, I've brought serious problems to the principals attention that involved the safety of my son, teachers not following county and state laws and poor attitudes from teachers. All of my questions/concerns were ignored. This is not a good school. Major changes need to occur immediately to ensure the safety of the children and that educational standards are being met.
