Feynman School is such a special place. Our son was disengaged in learning at his old school, but is a gifted student. He started at Feynman in 6th grade, for middle school, and it has been transformative. While Feynman is known for its STEM programming, English and history are his favorite subjects — the teachers truly recognize the students’ abilities and potential, and they challenge them to be creative and analytical thinkers. Math programming is designed for each student to work to their own level, a highly personalized program that’s helped my son reengage in a subject he’d grown bored with. And the art teacher is just awesome! While some programming, like sports or drama or robust music offerings, aren’t available due to the school’s small size, it’s easy to supplement outside of school. Lastly, the people are so kind!! Students, parents, teachers, and administration… we’d definitely recommend Feynman.

As a teacher with decades of experience, I love seeing the individual attention that is offered to Feynman students. Within a class, students' ability levels often vary; each child is met where s/he is and given the tools to grow. In addition to encouraging students' intellectual development, offering them access to materials and experiences you're unlikely to find in a public school setting, Feynman school professionals place significant emphasis on students' social emotional development. Students have opportunities to interact not only with their grade level peers, but with students throughout the school, fostering meaningful relationships that are not age-dependent. Students are allowed (and encouraged) to pursue topics that appeal to their individual academic interests, and share their findings with classmates. From a young age students are offered high level STEM and computer science instruction, as well as Spanish lessons. The staff collaborates with families to best meet the need of each individual student. Feynman School is a special place; quite distinct from other educational settings.

To say the Feynman School is truly incredible would be an understatement. The teachers are fantastic, and the leadership team is on point. It truly is a phenomenal school.Upon entering our family quickly found the teachers to be dedicated, intelligent, and truly interested in the welfare of the students who attend. When we had questions or needs the school and leadership team handled them immediately and in an organized and thoughtful manner. Our family cannot recommend Feynman School highly enough to any family in the Washington, DC or surrounding area.

My kids both finished up another challenging yet successful year at Feynman. They both loved it and as a parent I saw their academic growth throughout the year. It was a warm and engaging atmosphere throughout.

As a parent, I gotta say, if you're looking for an exceptional education for your son or daughter, Feynman School is the place to be. They focus on real understanding, offer a killer curriculum, create a nurturing environment, and care about the whole child. My kid has flourished there, and I couldn't be happier with our choice.

As a STEM educator, I've been remarkably impressed with Feynman North Bethesda K-8 School. Its balanced focus on fostering curiosity and creativity, alongside rigor in the STEM fields, parallels my teaching philosophy. Inspired by Richard Feynman's own 'learning by doing' ethos, the school's inquiry-based approach allows students to explore and experiment, instilling a genuine love for science. Its small class sizes can create a more personalized learning environment than public magnet STEM schools, allowing individual attention and nurturing each student's potential. The school's emphasis on cross-curricular integration is also impressive, demonstrating knowledge's interconnected nature. Feynman North Bethesda is a beacon of progressive education that upholds the real essence of STEM learning.

Feynman School is truly exceptional. The teachers are excellent, and the leadership team is highly responsive. It truly is an excellent school.Although we moved to another state, we found that the teachers are dedicated, intelligent, and creative. Then, there was the leadership team that took us on the tour. The leadership team is exceptional, particularly because they actively listen and respond to feedback from parents and students. Our family would recommend Feynman School to any family in the Washington, DC area.

Our kid loves going to school here. His teachers have been engaging and the atmosphere has been positive and conducive to learning. We highly recommend it.

The cover up is real if any incidents happen....open honest communication between parents and teachers is absent - intimidation is the name of the game here. The school promised to share where they are moving to after spring break....they haven't said anything. But they still collected nonrefundable deposits and commitment letters from parents who are totally unaware of where their child's school may be housed next year.

If you do decide to send your child to this school make sure you tell your child to call you if anything happens to them because the teachers and administrators will not keep you informed of such incidents, they instead cover it all up.

My kid was enrolled here & we currently moved to a new house and another school was closer. Please tell me how I spent a fortune at Feynman and my son's new teacher advised us that he doesn’t know ANYTHING. The teachers over at Feynman lied to me face and told me my son was excellent in all academic area’s. I'm appalled that this school cares about your money and NOT YOUR KID.

The bar has been set pretty low here and this school requires an upgrade to its structure, parental involvement, field trips, classroom educational hands-on material. Projects for the child to develop critical thinking skills and a less strict policy on their boot color preference. They value appearance of dress more than helping each child meet their full potential of true academic success and shaping children with positive reinforcements. They rely too heavily on negative, outdated and inefficient means of discipline for the students. They don’t have enough respect to properly inform parents of the rules and regulations when an undesirable outcome occurs. You have to demand professionalism from some of the staff members and even then, you may not get it. I’m truly disappointed in my decision to have chosen this school. I feel as though I didn’t do enough research and now my child is suffering. It’s terrible when this school asks for money but, doesn’t implement “a learning and positive growth “sort of plan for all students. As unethical and dishonest as the school owners are I would not recommend this school to anybody.

Some teachers would humiliate you in front of the class if you did not know the answer right away. The students were not taught how to behave properly and were pretty rough when it came to "hanging around". Overall, I would not recommend this school to anyone who isn't willing to let their kid be bullied and harassed. The price for this school is ridiculous!

The principal had me do a demo lesson and told me she would get back to me about a decision to hire me or not, but she never answered me, which I found to be rather rude and arrogant. It's just common decency to inform a prospective employee of hiring status.

Really terrible experience. The school missed its own self-imposed deadlines for communicating with parents by a long shot. And when they did communicate, it was totally lacking and insufficient. They did a really horrible job interviewing potential students. Did not do a proper assessment that should have been done which we watched very closely. Didn't explain clearly their curriculum or educational processes when asked directly. When we went in to visit the school, they wouldn't even let us see classrooms or let us beyond the front office. Terribly overpriced, and overrated. I'd rather send my child to a random public school than this one. Steer away, look elsewhere.

I don't usually go on the internet to leave negative reviews but bases on my kids experience at Feynman I felt compelled to leave a review. They really don't know what to do for bright and talented students who also have special needs like ADD or being on the autism spectrum disorder. They are so accustomed to not accommodating wealthy family pressure to treat someone differently that they seem completely unable to meet medical/mental/developmental accommodation requirements. If your child has anxiety, this is NOT a good place for them.

Bad experience very bad...I hope they hired new teachers. When I went there the teachers sucked and so did the children.Bullied, one teacher was insane use to call my house saying I was bullying other kids telling tales yelling at me.Had to go here because they shut down the best school in the world (due to privacy reason) I will not be sharing what school I went to before this one.

Although its a school its ran like a business, parents beware when dealing with Feynman School. I would NOT recommend attending this school. Waste of money. They do not have any diversity or experience how to raise kids. Overall this school is a sham!
