I have been a student here for 3 years and if I had the chance to change schools I wouldn't!! Unlike most schools our school is a family. We treat others with respect and we are all equal. After hearing all these nasty and untruthful reviews I think it's time to take matters into my own hands. This school is the best school I have ever known!! Our teachers take a full part in our lives, each and everyday these teachers will give us a good education and even a life lesson. If I did not go to this school I would be lost in this world and not know my true self. So I thank all the teachers here and this school for making me...ME!!!

people make this school seem so bad we do not have roaches,rats but of course EVERY school has bugs we dont have that much violoence and most of us is respectful we have had 1-2 fights for the 2018 school year.

Hello I am currently working at west middle school as a lunch lady an I am terrified I only started working here for my golden boots but I have gotten nowhere all I see is food covering the stained walls the cafeteria stinks and I have even seen one of the lunch ladies digging in their armpits while serving food it's disgusting I almost threw up I have decided to leave next week I have been thru too much too many cuss words fights and gang violence I am scarred for life the student here treat me with such disrespect and I'm tired of it you one and only gold boots by z..ss

To every parent / teacher / any type of school worker save yourself please don't go to west middle school there are roaches everywhere and rats and bugs the community is terrible you would not believe how many cuss words you can hear in one minute and the respect for other students is terrible we have tried and tried I have even once found a rat in a locker please save yourself from this horrid school

I went to West all 3 Years. It was not as bad as everybody made it out to be. Everybody was telling me that this school is nothing but trouble buh I still managed to get straight A's. The school is under great Leadership. Mr.Maceo Rainey is a great leader he has taught me a lot throughout my 3 years there. I will never forget my time at West. I wanna also give a shoutout to every teacher and Principal I had throughout Middle School because without them I would be as successful as I am. I always told myself even if you don't like the teacher this teacher will give you everything you need to know! Thank you West Middle School for being a great teacher! -Signed Keyvondre Cummings

For the teachers that tried, thank you. Unfortunately thanks to zoning, your kids will be thrown into a mix of kids that are involved with drugs and violence. The fairgrounds projects kids go here and you can tell. Its a roach hotel. Positive gifted program. But it wont save you in the halls. Gangbangers and future inmates abound.

Im a student of West middle school I am in capa in 6 Grade 2013 this is a great school yeah I've only been there for one year but after the first quarter I saw that everything was great the students don't act wrong and they don't bully each other the students here are great when I go to high school for capa I'm going to miss all the the teachers and the greatest principal ever and people say that this is the worst school ever but they are never went to meet my school I say this school is geat and NOT the worst school ever

I am an 8th grade CAPA student at West, and I really think that this school has overall improved alot over the past few years based on what I've heard fromm other community members as well as seen myself.

i am going to west middle school and i am in the 6th grade. I fell unsafe all the time, i fell like when i do something i will get hurt the teachers are ok but the students are rude to everybody. If you do not mess with anyone then most likely you will not get messed with but, sometimes all u have to do is bump in to someone and they wont to fight are they stupid or something you don't need to fight
