- Submitted by parent on May 22, 2024My experience has been negative overall. I am a white dude so take this however you want; there have been multiple instances when my child has been bothered by racist or sexist comments. School administration does not view this as problematic. Anytime problems in the school are pointed out staff indicate that they are all caused by Native American students. This is objectively untrue as all demographics are underperforming.
- Submitted by other on November 23, 201311/23/2013 - I'm just back from the NE Wyoming Honor Band and Choir concert in Gillette, WY and have to comment that the Riverton HS band director, Aric Hageman is fantastic!!! He was the guest conductor and had an amazing control and leadership of the band. I can't say enough about his talents. Their third tune was "The Witch and the Saint". Look it up on YouTube. It is a showpiece for a lot of reasons and sounded fabulous in the Gillette HS gym. Big positive slamming tympani, wonderful fluid melodies, soft sections, tight and sharp timing. Move to Riverton just so your kids can be in the HS band. Disclaimer: I don't live in Riverton and don't know anything else about the town.
