I hated this school because everyone is Toxic. I started in 7th grade finally switching to online going into 11th and over the years, every student has been getting dumber and dumber. I haven't had a proper English teacher since 8th grade because they allow the students to talk over the teachers and disrespect everyone. Not only that but they practically did away with discipline. No one gets in trouble even for cussing at a teacher and making them cry. This is the worst school and the school around are just as bad. Do not make your kid go this school it will not advance them in anyway. Don't believe in all their lies saying that they're improving because they aren't.

My son started Riesel in 9th grade and was the first of my children to attend Riesel ISD. I have been extremely disappointed in the quality of education that he has received!! He participates in athletics and that seems to be more important than academics at this school, but you wouldn't know it because the school has very few athletes that will go beyond high school level. My son is now a junior and NEVER has any homework. He can fail all his tests in physics, yet end up with a B in the class. He failed all his tests in biology and got a B in the class. They allow failing students to "make up" test grades which I feel encourages the student NOT to study because it doesn't really matter. He wrote a research paper in 10th grade and I never saw one page of it. He got a 70 on it, barely passing and this was something he supposedly did in class. He was writing thank you letters after Christmas this year and didn't know how to address the envelope! He's not a dumb kid, was on the honor roll in elementary school in another district. He doesn't care about grades, and the school doesn't care either. I have two younger children that I will not send to Riesel High School.
