    The staff is there for a paycheck...

    After reading reviews, I was ready to move. However, my son started Blackwell Elementary this year. He has had all of the support that I requested and more. Everyone knows my son and he is excited for school everyday. His teachers reach out via text, phone, email, and an app. He has grown so much in these last few months and is enthusiastic about reading and counting. Every week be brings home a FREE book. There is a free after school program that has crafts, games, and basketball. The school had a great spirit week and a trunk or treat for all students. I feel that Principal Davis and the staff genuinely care for their students.

    Like with anything, my experience has been mixed and depends on the individual I’m interacting with. My children have had good teachers and bad teachers. I think many people interpret ratings incorrectly and unfairly see Blackwell as a “bad” school when that is simply untrue.
