Being in this school for three years, i have seen how much this school changes, but also adapts. the previous admin, whom i have almost no interactions with, seemed okay. from others, who know better than me, said they were irresponsible with their control over the school, which i have no opinion on. yes, this school is accepting. yes, its better for those who cannot handle larger schools, but that doesnt mean its better than larger schools. you know the teachers by first name, which seems nice, seeing them as an adult, not some powerful being, but it tends to get awkward. cases where students and teachers are too close for comfort have happened, and may happen again. this school has plenty of events to bring the students together, having an array of after-school clubs, and special classes during january, soley art based. although this school does teach what any other school would (leaning towards a neutral stance when it comes to history and such), it dabbles in hands on projects, often being art related (painting, paper crafts, or anything related to crafts), encouraging creativity.they care about your emotional state, allowing you to have a break if needed, or to talk to the singular counselor at school (which is a hassle to get into contact with). they care what happens at home, if you are safe or not, making sure you have a ride whenever you stay after school, or after field trips.there are friend groups, very specific with who they mainly interact with, but everyone gets along with each other, little arguments here and there, but nothing much.do not come to this school if you want to escape having homework. if you want your emotional state to be taken in account while focusing on academics, this school is for you.And yes, this school is a queer safe-space.

Many of the teachers were absolutely unqualified to teach students with special needs. Some of the teachers bullied students and parents. The director was incompetent and dishonest.

The school pretends to accept everyone and that is absolutely untrue. They have blocked me from commenting on their facebook because I was honest and critical of how they operate. They accept students and parents as long as the students and parents treat the teachers and administrators as if they are all knowing. They want to literally be worshipped and will not tolerate being questioned. As a parent, I was told that not to question how they did things. They threaten students and parents and most teachers are incompetent.

I'd rate it very high, and it's definitely a school I would personally suggest checking out if you (or your child) are having a rough time with the typical highschool environment. There are some things that may not work out for your child or for you personally in regards to this school, but these things are usually resolved fast or are able to be talked about between a parent and a student, a parent and a teacher, or a student and a teacher.

Watershed High School is an amazing place for students who struggle or get lost in the shuffle at typical, large high schools. The environment is very supportive and accepting, with awesome teachers who are devoted to helping their students succeed. My daughter has blossomed and gained confidence both academically and socially.

As a parent, my son went to this school to get away from the inner city "huge schools", but found that even at a smaller school, the teachers were not tolerant of a shy kid. The admin was dishonest. Disappointing.

I went here for 2013 to 2014. I think this school is good school it's just that for me the education system is little different. I went to this school in the first place so I wouldn't get bullied. I didn't which I'm happy about. Overall I think this school is awesome.
