As other reviews have mentioned. this school runs on nepotism & favoritism. I cannot comprehend how other reviewers left a good rating. The passive racism & discrimination amongst my classmates was blatantly obvious yet no staff seemed to care. Do not attend this school if you are an ethnic minority. (Don't attend this school in general, avoid at all costs if possible). Bullying is a huge issue, despite what some staff may say. It's brushed under the rug and ignored. Unless your family is "important" to the school or if you have a close connection to the staff, you're on your own. Don't expect the teachers or other staff to intervene. Drugs is another huge issue. It's not just the high school specifically; it's rampant in the entire Chippewa Hills School District, unfortunately including the elementaries. Most classmates & students I know had /some/ interaction with drugs by the time they got into 8th grade. If you send your child here, it can only be expected that they will eventually get involved with it as well. It's practically unavoidable. I highly recommend literally any other school except this one.

From the information I know so far. I am very concerned with the amount of communication with parents. I am also concerned with the resources such as books and personal computers and state of the art technology the school has available for students. I will be monitoring my concerns throughout the year.

Worst choice for our kids. Huge mistake

Our family has had several children, relatives and friends graduate from Chippewa Hills. Most of these children have graduated from college, or are currently in college, and are doing extremely well. The staff seems to work very hard to prepare their students for college. I have a hard time understanding some of the other reviews on this site? I guess it's like anything else, if you work hard you'll be successful, if you don't you'll blame others (school) for your problems.

I have been struggling with this school longer then I attended to. They discriminate students and favor their own children and children's friends. Staff and the staffs children are the priority. I'm absolutely appalled that the PRINCIPALS engage in such ridiculous behavior when children not in they're circle. I have seen with my own eyes and experienced it at the school, bus, and fields/courts. DRUGS are horrible within the schools. Doesn't help you have COACHES having parties after the games and inviting 7-11 graders over to discover the adults are engaging in a smoke fest( WEED) in front of the students. Maybe CHIPPEWA HILLS SCHOOL BOARD SHOULD STEP IN! Lets lead by example and not turn a blind eye. Remember the Bullying situation that was just on the NEWS. Face it, all these parents wouldn't be coming forth if it was a 3 or 4 stars. Start by make your 5-6 grade principal choice one position so our children have the principals full attention. IT"S NEEDED. The normal community don't get to work two jobs in a eight hour period. Your not successful make some changes. Refrain from sending your children to this district.

If I could give a school 0 out of 5 stars, I would. Unless you have personal connections with anyone of "importance", prepare to be an outcast at Chip Hills. The students are very poorly educated and bullying is a huge issue. Most of the staff is as rude as the students, with many teachers picking favorites and ignoring bullying problems. Not to mention it's a struggle to get any accommodations or one on one help. Teacher quality is poor, education quality is poor, rude staff, and nepotic atmosphere. As someone who attended Chippewa Hills High School for one year, I would highly recommend taking your children elsewhere.
