This school has been a wonderful place for my children. The teachers and staff are caring and supportive. Communication between home and school has increased dramatically over the years. Community involvement is high. My children love attending this school.

But yet again 2nd year T.L Reed another school has failed my son. I have loved living in reedley. Except for their school. I HATE their school. I dislike this school district. I don't get it. Why must small towns be so closed minded and afraid to rock the boat. It sucks that only parents with kids like mine get it. But then again they are so lucky not to have to deal with so much bs and seeing ur kid struggle. I wish I didn't have to be so loud & aggressive. But who else is going to fight for your kids right to succeed in life? Not them apparently.... Missing Bakman elementary right now. Fresno is not perfect by any means but damn it they worked hard for my kids.

Performance is very spotty as of fall 2012. The last two principals have tried to do great things with this school, and there have been pockets of excellence among the teaching staff. However, there has been a great deal of turnover lately in both staff and students, and overall things seem to be going in the wrong direction. Music programs have been cut, there is little instruction geared toward advanced students, and such students are punished by drill-and-kill basics months in adavance of high-stakes testing. Perhaps it is time to bail for Clovis.
