My sister and boyfriend thought this would be a good choice for my nephew, due to multiple issues at Montessori school. I am not sure of the research she did, however (my nephew who is now in my custody), it appears as if his problem was due to ineffective home guidance and the misplaced idea that schools are responsible for all the teaching of the child. You must be involved with your children's education. If the teachers see you care and are paying attention they will provide advise and assistance! We need to teach kids RESPECT. So little of this in todays schools... the biggest concern for this school for the last couple of years is the principle, after several heated board meetings with the parents, teachers and board members, she has decided to resign. So, the matters that I have given a low standard of care may improve.

This is the second year having a child at this school and the administration is definitely a problem. There have been various situations regarding safety that haven’t been handled well at all or not handled whatsoever. Kids can do anything with no consequences. The principle can’t seem to handle any situations regarding bullying, safety (guns threats, bomb threats) at all. She tries to hide everything from parents and has gone as far as going class to class telling kids not to tell their parents anything that happens at school. They have no restrictions on their school issued chrome books so kids can look at anything they want to. Definitely don’t recommend.

I attended this school since kindergarten and this school is terrible. From kindergarten to 6th grade, my experience was mostly positive. The teachers were very good and taught me well, but the way the administrators handle bullying has always been an issue. I’ve noticed since the former principal left situations have been handled differently. They do almost nothing about bullying and it continues. I have not been a victim of bullying for the past few years but some of my friends have, and the administration does nothing to help them. They’ll give them a “loving talk” and let them off while the kid that did the bullying gets let off with a warning or has to pick up trash for the day. This school is supposed to be a STEM school but is known as a behavioral school now because of how many troubling students attend that school. When my brother was in kindergarten, he was one of those troubling students for a while, and he wasn’t helped properly. The principal was rude and threatened him, and from what I have heard she’s done this to other students as well. I’ve walked into the office many times and almost every time there is a student sitting on the bench outside of the principal’s room and she’s either yelling at or ignoring the child. She also ignores the complaints about the junior high teachers for the longest time then acknowledges them after many months. The 8th grade teacher has been there for 2 years now and has gotten better but she still doesn’t know how to teach her students. She answers the students question with a question then leaves them to do their work with the most confusing answer ever. Her plans are also very messy and I don’t know how she still has her job. The 7th grade teacher from the last 2 years have been let go and every time they hire a new person they have been worse. I don’t recommend going to this school until something is done about the principal.

We've been with this school since kindergarten. It's slowly gone down hill and we are looking for a new school next year. The Curriculum is constantly changing along with staff. Teacher ratio is more like 1:25. More parents working here than teachers. Facilities are poor. Library, maker space are a joke.. No advance classes available. Teacher fired last year for inappropriate behavior. The other review about the vice principal who is now principal is very true. My son was threatened by her not to report things to me. She has no business running this school. Students do not like or respect her.

Writing in Nov, 2022. Child attended last year the vice principal put her hands on my child. Child reported there were other teachers and staff in the office and outside at the time of the incident. The student was basically detained roughly and brought inside in a degrading and demeaning manner. And we’re talking about a very very young student. I did not report it because my child didn’t tell me until much later, this VP I’ve heard is now the principal!!! How?!?! None of the children like her. Very disheartening to hear.

My child handed me his report card of all "F's" except one "C". I immediately wondered why I wasn't made aware of this in time to help him. Turns out I was takin off contact list. He's been attending this school since kindergarten, they know me. Just maybe, the other parent should have been the one removed from list. Too much social media? Also, he was waiting for scheduled class to start online this morning, teacher was a no show. During these times, schools should step up not lay down.

This is a great school. It has a STEM focus and kids love the hands-on activities. Students are able to participate in sports, and the teachers are fantastic.

This is my third year at this school, and I am not impressed. Project lead the way is what this school is most proud of and fifth grade is the only one that has a good and fun time. I-Ready is the homework that they use and it is stupid. I all and all feel sad about this and I want them to improve.
