When I first came from Mexico and knew no english, teachers only teached me a few words like Hello, Goodbye, Thank you, House, Pencil and "Can i go to the bathroom." I learned english by reading english books and their translated version. I got bullied by a boy who had poor parents and that was the principals excuse to not do anything about it. I also got bullied by his friendgroup and one time in the bus they touched me in several parts of the body. One time I told a teacher that a girl was pulling my hair they took me to the office and said that I should APOLOGIZE to the girl. I also managed to sneak out of the school several times which is very unsafe.

Was not happy with the education, lack of social and emotional support for the kids and the nonsense they were pushing in the curriculum. They wasted so much time teaching new type of concepts (we all know what those are) and completely disregarded literacy and mathematics instruction because of this. I have gifted children and thankfully after pulling them, seeing how behind they were (to be fair most public school children are massively behind) they were able to catch up and learn traditional educational concepts in a private school. Please be aware that tribal members can get private school paid for if a tribe is willing. I would look into this. Private schools also offer help paying tuition. If you need your child to catch up, those are options. I will say that while my children were being told they were the top of their classes in Prairie and Pacheco they were struggling with traditional education at a private school. I am a teacher and possess my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in early childhood education and my k-12 Liberal Studies degree, Human Development and Social Sciences degree. I am well versed in whole-child education as well as state standards and followed the curriculum during Covid in both Prairie and Pacheco, I would NOT recommend.

This is the worst school with dealing with bullies. They allow it to continue after my son reported it. He was grab by a few students, picked up and dropped. The VP said that the situation was handle. That is what he said the last few times. It is obviously not handled. If your kid is bigger and you want him to learn to bully other kids this is a great training grounds for that. If you want a safe learning environment this is not the school for your children.

This is a good school. The teachers I have dealt with are very nice. Whenever I send her an E-mail, she answers it very promptly. This is my daughters first year there and overall it has been okay. We living in Redding don't like the fact that it is in the Anderson school district and a lot of the students come from a lower class of families. That is the only drawback is that some of the students tend to be sort of "ghetto". But my daughter just does not associate with them. They have an outstanding POPS (performers of Pacheco School) program which our daughter just Loves! They put on a winter and spring play and took a field trip to San Francisco to see a professional performance. The Principal Jason Provence is Excellent. Any time we have contacted him, he has responded promptly. He is very professional.
