My female child has to physically defend herself….would not recommend, trying to switch schools asap, such a mistake!

Reading elementary is the heart and soul of our little town. There are many wonderful people who make this place stand out, from the faculty, to chef Sandy preparing meals from scratch, and the numerous engaged families.The school has a beautiful outdoor space and class room with streams and trails for kids to play on. There is skiing on Friday afternoons! My daughter is doing well academically and socially and it seems all the kids are receiving kind, caring attention.

My kids have LOVED being at this small school. They’ve had a great education within what feels like a big family. The sustainability and community focus are so relevant for today’s world.

Both of our children attend Reading Elementary school, and we couldn't be more pleased. It is a small school, with multi-grade classrooms. The teaching staff is phenomenal...they are masters at differentiation and focus on the "whole child." Being a small school, the children learn quickly how to work with each other and respect each other. The school focuses on sustainability and community, and benefits from a new outdoor classroom and series of hiking trails right on the property. RES is part of the "Farm to School" program, which is integrated into our food services. We can't say enough positive things about our experience at RES.

RES fosters growth in the families of Reading, and develops their students into intelligent, thoughtful, and caring children. As the "heart" of the community, we find RES to be more than just a school. It's a gathering place where we all continue to grow to be better community members, as students and as parents.

Excellent! Very pleased with students, staff, teachers, principal, PTO, and community! Wouldn’t trade it for the world. Our children are happy at Reading Elementary!

Excellent small school in the heart of the village. Focuses on a connection to the outdoors (it's nestled on a beautiful location with a hiking trail behind it) and sustainability. Great academics too, love all the staff. Have both our children enrolled here and couldn't be happier with the quality of education we're getting here!
