Rabun Gap was a great school. Teachers are wonderful and most staff is kind and willing to do a good job. The problem with Rabun Gap is the way the school system is run. Instead of asking parents or students about policies or ways to improve, whom ever from the school uses ideas from Northern collage preparatory schools, which are by far a more class act, or does "research" to find the "best possible solution". On the good side of Rabun Gap the student body is full of diversity and my student enjoyed that. Ways to help improve would start by original Rabun Gap specific policies that help improve the Rabun Gap community specifically. The location is great for parents wanting their children to be safe because the school is about the only place in the whole town. Unfortunately my student chose to leave, but for the future to continue hopefully Rabun Gap will change.

I graduated from Rabun Gap Nacoochee School couple years ago and I ABSOLUTELY loved this school. It is a great school with a very diverse community (there were students from 19 different countries & 14 different states when I was a student there). If you want your child to experience other cultures, you should definitely send your child here. Also, teachers are so caring and loving the students. Since this school is such a small private school, students and teachers have good relationship. Everyone knows each other so it makes a boarding school more like a home environment. Since most of faculty live on campus or near by campus, your child will get to see their teachers everywhere. Which means, you can get help anytime you want. The dorm parents are ABSOLUTELY amazing human beings too. They know how to take care of your kids. All of the facilities they have are also amazing,especially the art department's facilities are AWESOME! You should go have a tour by a Gap Guide (a student tour guide) to hear their personal experiences in that school. They usually find the best fit tour guide for prospective student. It might sound little too dramatic, but I do love this school!
