We could not be more pleased with our experience at Roots and Wings Charter School. Our child is receiving a wholesome, well-rounded education with an emphasis on community, self reflection, and creativity. She is motivated, supported, and inspired by her teacher and loves school. Staff and students are kind and caring. A rigorous and well-planned expeditionary learning curriculum. This year the school does have a ski program for K-8.

Dedicated staff that take the time to cater work to special needs (both special ed and gifted). Project-based, rigorous, hands-on, real world academics. Outward Bound type wilderness trips.

Small middle school where the teachers know each student. Small classes. Focus on project based learning and community. Wilderness trips and outdoor experiences. After some ups and downs, the school is settling after doubling in size. Some great new staff. Could use more extra-curricular activities and a ski program.
