We were so excited for our daughter to be at Stuart and have deep respect and affection for many of the teachers. Overall, however, we have found that there’s way too much marketing (the Lead Like a Girl conference doesn’t benefit students) and too little time in class. Good teachers are leaving, and admins don’t listen to students or parents who express concerns.

Our daughter attended Stuart from Pre-K through third grade. We moved an hour away where she attended another Catholic girls school. Anna returned to Stuart last year as a seventh grader, making the hour long commute daily. Stuart is an exceptional school for the development of young women. Any parent considering this type of education should visit the school. They and their daughter will immediately see and feel the opportunity Stuart offers.

My three daughter’s experience at Stuart has been and continues to be a cherished gift to our family. Not a single need has gone unmet. The girls are nourished academically, spiritually and socially each day, propelling them forward with strength and drive. Their experiences with the Stuart community, on campus and off, allow them to grow confidently. They know that any dream of theirs can be met and the knowledge that “I” am important. There is no doubt in my mind that the Stuart experience is the groundwork for some incredible things to come in the future.

Transferred my daughter within a year of enrolling in Stuart. Sending my child here was the worst educational decision that I have ever made. The students are entitled and cruel, especially to new students; they bully--physically and by exclusion, and that includes the teachers and staff, too. The academics are nothing special and the professed commitment to diversity is a sham, none of it is reflected in the curriculum, religious images, etc. Smartest thing I did was to remove my daughter before her spirit and outgoing nature were totally destroyed. Learn from our mistake and find another school for your daughter.

Stuart is an excellent school for girls and young boys. If you want your daughter to become a confident leader by the end of grade school, this is a must attend school for her! You will be amazed at all she will learn!

Originally I had thought that the school was run operationally by the Sacred Heart nuns. It was not until after I matriculated my daughters that I learned that Princeton based women approached the sisters of the Sacred Heart to start the school. While the nuns certainly exhibited involvement over the years, Princetonian women of means have a direct influence on the day to day operations to this day.

I regret sending daughters to Stuart. Stuart has no boys and no drugs, a very nice physical environment but little else. Stuart head of school is solely concerned with fund raising and her focus on money filters down to the girls. I don't see the individual attention you would expect from a premium priced, smaller sized school. Stuart has not helped my girls meet their potential and I regret sending them there.

Have two daughters at Stuart. Great nurturing environment and academically rigorous. Class sizes are small and kids get individual attention. Very pleased with the experience

My daughters are “lifers” at Stuart. The moment we set foot on campus, we knew this was home. Students are not only loved and nurtured, but encouraged to be strong, confident and compassionate. Throughout our years at Stuart, we have found outstanding academics and dedicated teachers who go above and beyond to know and develop each girl. Class sizes are small, giving students and teachers a unique opportunity for individual attention. There is a wide variety of clubs and activities, and all of the leaders of those clubs are girls! Stuart’s unique place as a Sacred Heart school allows the students opportunities to connect with their Sacred Heart sisters throughout the world. College guidance is unparalleled and Stuart routinely places students in top tier schools. Strong traditions and a special community are treasured benefits. My daughters are exceptional and accomplished young women because of the education they've received at Stuart!

What's best about Stuart is the personal attention every student receives. It truly is a community, and not just for the students. From the moment a student becomes a Stuart girl, she and her family are welcomed into a vibrant community of fellow families, educators, administrators, and alumnae. As part of the Network of Sacred Heart schools, this community includes not just the Princeton, NJ area but also the US and the world! You have to experience it to understand it. It's unlike anything else that a local independent school can offer!

I am baffled by the recent post which claims to be from a teacher at Stuart. My family started at Stuart after the hire of Dr. Fagin as head of school so I have heard about the adjustment since. Many families and faculty have been here for a while as Stuart has become much more competitive with other private schools in the area, state and country. This community and town demands so much from its schools and students to remain competitive; however I have only experienced warmth and support from everyone at Stuart. The Board of Trustees holds Dr. Fagin to a very high standard which she meets while exuding genuine care and professionalism at every step. We ALL strive to raise and educate these young women to their best potential. I have worked with and observed the faculty and staff in a variety of settings. They are in the "business" of education and are preparing our girls to lead and lean in at every age and stage of their lives. They are not tech-driven bullies. They are using both technology and emotional intelligence to support the girls, develop themselves professionally and collaborate with each other. I hope this teacher finds a better channel to address his/her frustrations, ideally through someone at the school.

My daughter came to Stuart in the 7th grade. She quickly made friends and her teachers made the academic transition an easy one. The friends she made in middle school have remained her close friends through the high school at Stuart. As a smaller community the students have so many opportunities to become involved: from sports to arts to tech. The all girls environment provides a safe place to try new things without fear of failure. The community is amazing. Older girls mentor the younger ones, developing really special friendships. It's been a life-changer for my daughter, and for this we are very grateful.
