Our experience was less than stellar. We attempted to transition our daughter here following homeschool with our son for her last 2 years. The feedback on her placement tests was condensing which should have alerted me. However the challenge was the lack of communication from her “instructors” who grade the work - specifically math. Her math instructor rarely responded or graded assignments which was required to move forward. Sometimes the response would take 3-9 days. Additionally - all but one teacher was condescending in their responses. When she did need further explanation or support she didn’t get it. If you’re used to public school teachers and environment this would be a good fit. However I did not find it supportive or beneficial to my daughter’s overall education and character development.

My daughter was struggling in a traditional classroom. Now that she is attending Western Christian Academy online homeschool she has grades in the upper 90% on a daily basis. The on call teacher has helped us many times. This school is a blessing to us.

If I didn't have God and all of you I wouldn't be where I am today in my education and I wouldn't have the grades I have at this point. I love that even though we don't do good on assignments you all give us the chance to try again and this makes us never want to give up. Thank you all

I can do work when I want to and the lessons are explained well. I also like that my teachers get back to me very quickly.

Well I have not been treated the school wise. but I feel like I have been doing the school by myself even though my Mom got extra teacher support.

This is my very first year with Western Christian Academy and I really like it. They give the right amount of work to me not to much and not to little. I also like the fact that when you do a lesson or take a quiz you have to get a 80% or higher. I like this because it encourages me to get better grades. I also like the staff. They answer you when you call and they help you with anything you need and if they may not answer just leave a message and they will for sure call you back. At first I thought I wouldn't like homeschooling much because I would miss my School but I really like it I don't miss my School that much anymore.( I recommend WCA to anyone who wants to get homeschooled its the best first time experience for new homeschoolers).

It is just a wonderful school! It is affordable, (most christian schools are way to expensive, that's why my parents were never able let me attend one, online or in school.) christian based, and lets me work at my own pace whenever I feel. My teacher is just wonderful, this school has helped me achieve many of my goals and I know it will continue to be wonderful!

I love this school. The school in my area is awful and was pretty much a daycare for my kindergartener and second grader. I looked at tons of online schools and this one met all of our expectations in areas like curriculum, cost, and ease of teaching. My now third grader does his work online and loves it. My other child does her work in workbooks and the school has the lessons all laid out for me. They have experiments, songs, dvds, and so on to support the lessons for both my children. I have nothing negative to say.

My children have attended Western Christian Academy for the last four years. My youngest started with kindergarten, & my oldest started in junior high. I have a child with autism. Homeschool was, & still is the best option for my children. Not only have my children finished each year with A's and B's, they're able to take their time learning the material. Having bible study daily is plus! As a parent, I rely on the payment options Western Christian Academy offers. I highly recommend this accredited christian school!

I do not recommend this school as they are too lenient which will result in your child not learning the material presented to them.

I recently Homeschooled my twin teenager daughters & my youngest son for School Year 2012/13. I really have to say that I really love WCA, the Online teachers & the staff at the office. They were always readily made available for my children especially my twins which we had to get the Online Teachers because they are in H.School. For us it is difficult because our hrs are off by 4 hrs. We live in Oahu, HI so by the time my kids start their homeschoolg they have exactly 2 or 3 hrs to communicate with the teachers and I totally disagree with the other parent comment. The teachers are always ready made available. I've seen one of the teachers working on holidays when they don't have too and I've seen a bunch of the other teachers working off duty (in their family time) to accommodate my teens & yes, we don't have the control but, the blessing is "if you ask they can communicate with you!" Too me that was a blessing to have because I was my youngest son teacher & knowing my kids had others to rely on was a blessing. The other good thing about this was it's an accredited school so this next school yr I have the options to placing them back into the public school system. Love WCA

You must do your homework when it comes to online schools. There are so many out there now. I've been at WCA for the 2012/2013 school year. What I liked was that they did all of the grading for the program that I chose for my son. What I didn't like is the lack of control you have as a parent from an educational standpoint. In order to get them to grade the curriculum for you, you have to get the teacher on call and that teacher is only available for a few hours a day and they aren't there to immediately unblock alternative quizzes and tests when your child needs to retake one. I found that the teacher rarely checked in or monitored where my son needed help, especially in math. I believe that they did the very minimum for what they charge. If I didn't go with the teacher on call, then the grading was entirely left up to me but after middle school they don't allow it. In other words, teacher on call is mandatory. I gave this school a 1 star because there are so many other schools out there that have tweaked their programs to cater to online children/parents. They also use Catholic study for bible.
