Our son has severe dyslexia and was languishing in public school. We found New Bridge and started in 2nd grade. To say it was transformative would be an understatement! Before he started at New Bridge he thought he couldn’t learn and would never match up to other kids. Fast forward several years and he has an incredible joy for learning! He absolutely loves school and looks forward to going every day. I could not possibly recommend this school enough. To be only able to give 5 stars seems like an injustice for a school like New Bridge. Specifically, if your child (like ours) has dyslexia there is no better option than New Bridge!

As a teacher, this is the best school I have taught at. I am highly supported by admin and have been trained immensely by NewBridge. I have really learned how to be a teacher here. This school is made for students with language-based disabilities and I think we do a phenomenal job at teaching those students. I would highly recommend NewBridge to anyone with a child that has any sort of language-based disability. I believe our testimonies speak for themselves!

I can speak for the Kooning they have. Please be very careful if you are trying to look at this school if you have a son with Autism. If the kid has the mildest occasional behavior they do not want him/her.I waited long to write this review because wanted to be fair. My Son with only mild occasional behavior had to leave school and it was heart breaking when they called police on a 12 year old kid! When I got there he was sitting in the police car waiting for me.As far as education, the teachers young with no experience. As far as ABA, well they do not have any!Once I got a call to pick him up. I was working out of town and my wife was working in urgent care. We could not be there. They did not like it at all! If you have a school and accept kids on the spectrum then where is your training and support? If you are self pay, you do not have an IEP. Takes them forever to give you a feedback! The owner is only a business man. He rather to have quiet kids in there with parents willing to pay. They are just about Money. Please be careful! He did way lot better in our public home school!

The 10 year old review on this site still holds true. It is quite unfortunate this is the only school in the are for dyslexic learners. While I would assume the owners intentions are in the right place, the execution of these intentions fails miserably. At the end of the day, this is a for profit school, lacking any oversight and accreditation.

NewBridge has genuine rich virtues which are timeless in American educational history. The intimate scale of the school houses painted "oh so red" surrounded by mature trees and governed by one of the most caring school directors in California gives NewBridge exceptional distinction in the school's quest to support all children with learning hardships. Our daughter with dyslexia spent four years at this wonderful institution beginning with fourth grade and we watched her blossom. Although we don't live near Poway and the commute can be challenging, it is the end result that takes our breath away. We urge other families to seek out this superb school and admire this school's beautiful modesty.
