I went to this school. I will say a couple experiences I have had at this school. The first day I got to that school(6th grade) I was bullied, what did the school do to that bully, nothing, no consequences, not even a talk, they were there until they dropped out of middle school. In 7th grade a kid from another school went missing and I was worried because she was my friend’s friend and they thought I knew what happened by ease dropping on my conversation. I had to talk to cops, they pulled me out of lunch and would not let me eat my food, I called my mom after that and went home. In 8th grade I got a death threat by someone and I got a lunch detention, the person who said it to me didn’t get a lunch detention, not even one consequence. And the principal followed me and my friend because someone threatened to jump us, and she thought we were the threat in the situation, again, that person didn’t get in trouble, not even a warning. They ruined me and my friends mental health, my whole entire middle school experience was terrible, the only good thing was my friends. The kids there do not get in trouble. If a kid beats up a kid, they don’t get in trouble. My friend was walking to the bathroom one time and walking off to the side once she saw a teacher with a special needs kid, the special ed teacher pushed my friend, who was not in the way, into the wall. She didn’t get fired. A few teachers favorite the “bad” kids and not the good ones. I only liked two teachers I had. And if a kid misses a lot of days of school the school doesn’t care! Do NOT take your kids here. There is also tampons and pads(used) scattered across the bathrooms. All the girls restrooms are usually closed, the boys never are! And the girls period supplies cost like 25 cents. And teachers lay their hands on you, without asking, if you are in trouble. The teachers love to call on the shy kids, or the kids that have obvious social anxiety. They never call on the kids willing to answer. Do not spend money on this school. They are broke. A pipe broke and we had to use porta-potties that were in the parking lot. A staff member had to stand right outside the door. The bleachers are not safe in the lower gym. A kid fell through one, the staff did not care, a few laughed. They didn’t even fix the bleacher that broke, they duct tapped the broken piece of wood to it’s original spot and put caution tape over it. Kids get bullied everyday. People right hateful words in the stalls or on mirrors.

this school is horrible, and they say no phones but what if a kid needs there phone and the school is horrible in general.

As a former student, this school was horrendous—constant fights, little to no admin intervention, genuinely just atrocious. Teachers are pretty good for the most part, but the students who give about a rat's ass about the classes ruin it. Tolerable, but painful for the 3 years I was there from 2018-2021.

You can make a t f new friends when you start school that is what I like about school. The math is not fun they get mad if you use your locker in the middle of class and when you go out to the bathroom they don't let you take you time 2 minutes back.

This school was a terrible experience for our family. The staff is rude, the principal is non responsive to parents, the kids run the show, and only a handful of teachers are actually having a positive impact. My child was bullied within the first week and the the principal never even reached out. I've sent multiple emails to the principal regarding issues and questions with zero response. One of my child's teachers had no boundaries and stepped way over the line, sharing personal information about her private life that had no place in a 6th grade classroom. There was an act of violence this year that sent one kid to the hospital and one kids to jail. I have never felt so separated and disconnected from my child and their education. If you have an option, go elsewhere. There are no consequences for the kids, nothing is enforced.I would not recommend this school.

If you are hoping for a school that keeps you informed with good teacher to parent contact, this is not the school for you.Office staff is unfriendly and curt. No replies from teachers when emails are sent. And no parent teacher conferences unless your student is doing poorly. Elementary school was excellent and moving on to middle school has been a shock all around. Of course there are a handful of good teachers, but overall I have found the non-Covid related practices to be far below sub-par. I have never felt more disconnected from my child education than I do now. Very disappointing.

It was ok. I went there from around 2018-2020, the overall quality of the school was pretty good, but the students there are just kind of mean. Teachers are a mixed bag, some are great and just known for being nice, and others have reputations for getting into peoples business and yelling. Overall it's pretty middle of the row, apparently it had big issues with substance abuse years ago but these seem to have been taken care of.

My child attended this school for one year and had such an awful experience we had to switch schools. Academic rigor is non-existent (they were still drilling multiplication tables because the kids were struggling with the basics, my kid was so bored academically that she requested we get her a math tutor so she could feel challenged); discipline was lacking (teachers were constantly shouting at kids to settle down); counselor didn't have time for kids who were struggling socially because she was too busy dealing with the more serious discipline issues (fights; substance abuse). It would seem harsh to blame the teachers/staff for much of this, my daughter liked her teachers and felt sorry for them. She believes the particular student population and parents are most accountable. There are better choices in the district, but you must be within the specific school boundary and don't expect an easy transfer because the district makes it practically impossible! Just keep that in mind if you're considering moving to the area.
