This school has significant issues that impact both students and staff. The head of school lacks a background in education and appears to show favoritism toward certain teachers and students. Concerns have been raised about financial management, and teacher turnover is notably high, particularly in the past year. Morale is low, with little sense of community—there are no school dances or events for students to look forward to. Staff relationships seem strained, and there is little evidence of differentiated learning as advertised. Additionally, some teachers have been heard speaking negatively about students. The overall environment is marked by ongoing drama and a toxic atmosphere.

This school is so tow faces to your kid that treats them bad but and some of the kids get treated like trash and like babies and some teachers like to target kids this school is bad don’t send your kids when you visit with you kid and you talk to one of them qnd ask question like what do you like about that school they can not answer and you can tell that they want to say they don’t like the school at all

The teachers here are wonderful and dedicated, the administrators however, know nothing about education. Administrators also play favorites among staff. For example, a teacher who is loved by admin is a genius, but a staff member on the outs with admin for whatever reason could do the exact same thing and be told they are a moron and have their job threatened. The head of school liked to do contract roulette every year as well, he’d give out some contracts but not others so everyone was always on edge. As an adult with a home and a child, my anxiety could not handle not knowing year to year if I’d have a job. The “Vocational program” had zero funds but they wanted to kids to go on tours of various job sites 3x’s per week. Admin had no contacts either, so the teacher had to cold call various places to see if they might let the kids tour for free. There was no school vehicle either, so the class was limited to places within walking distance of the school. The best was when the head of school promised a store for the vocational program to be opened in October of 2021 and it didn’t open until May 2022. The school store attracted zero customers and was closed in June 2023, a great investment. The admin promise the world and deliver nothing, please don’t come here.

This school was such a gift to my nephew, who had dyslexia and enjoyed learning in public school but the teachers never pushed him to his true potential. He had trouble making friends because he was "different" because of the pull-outs. Vincent Smith teachers gave him the attention and nurturing he needed and he was able to make friends since there, no one is different because everyone is different. If your child is struggling whether academically or socially, I highly recommend Vincent Smith!

This school is in bad shape financially and physically due to very low enrollment and horrible management!! They claim that most of their students go to college. However, they do NOT tell you that most of their student cannot survive in a college program and leave after the first year. They do NOT prepare students for college or vocational careers!!!
