Amazing staff, curriculum and overall energy. Each of the faculty, in my experience, genuinely cares for the students futures and well being. To say that Charlotte Prep takes pride in watching their students grow academically and spiritually is an understatement. My kids have been going to Charlotte prep for nearly 6 years and generally accel in all areas as compared to a public school curriculum. Our kids will be going all the way through 8th grade at Charlotte Prep. A big thanks you to the great faculty of Charlotte Prep.

fabulous! Our family calls this place home. Our children have been to another school in the past but we are so thankful to have found Charlotte Preparatory. The teachers and other families are welcoming and helpful.

Exceptional. I had one child stay there for age 3 until 8th grade and 2 others that will do exactly the same. No regrets ever about enrolling my children there. Worth every penny for a great SAFE environment.

We cannot say enough positive things about Charlotte Academy!! From the moment I first made contact with the school I received the kindest and most sincere care. Our family moved here from another Country and trying to find the right fit in a brand new place is very scary and overwhelming. Absolutely everyone has been kind and helpful. Our daughter is excelling in areas where she was afraid to previously due to such large class sizes. Hearing all of the exciting news about how our daughters day at school and how much she values her teachers and all the staff makes us so thankful we found this little gem for our family.

Both of my children have been attending Charlotte Academy since they were 3 years old. Not only is the environment safe for learning, it is full of love and support from the staff. The communication between parents, teachers and Mrs. Fear is easy and personal. My children are thriving both academically and socially and I give Charlotte Academy's program all the credit. Even more exciting has been the imense school improvements brought to us by a skilled and ambitious new head of school. I am even more excited to see what the next 6 years will bring.

I have been so impressed with what our children have accomplished at Charlotte Academy. The Montessori approach allows children to continue to learn at their own pace and continually pushes them forward. Most of the students at Charlotte Academy are performing above grade level because there is no "ceiling" to their learning any given year. The school has been through some wonderful transitions in the last year, and our new Head of School, Peggy Fear, is just what we needed. I can't wait to see where she takes Charlotte Academy. She is setting the bar high.

Both of our kids have attended Charlotte Academy since Kindergarten. They are now 12 and 15 years old. Charlotte Academy has provided a great platform for both learning and social interaction. Mrs. Fear is providing great leadership which will insure the future success of the students and the school.

Our children have thoroughly enjoyed their time at Charlotte Academy. They began as 4 year-old Montessori students and have now ascended into the Delta Program in which their classes are challenging, satisfying and fun. Mrs. Fear is the principal who motivates students, teachers and parents alike. We are delighted by the way the school and its excellent teachers continue to grow under her leadership.

My kids started here in pre-primary and are now in 1st and 3rd grades. They both have had the same excellent teachers. The school has been through some transitions and adjustments, but I absolutely love our new principal Mrs. Fear. She is amazing at getting things done, she has already implemented several great changes to the curriculum. I wish there was someone like her at all schools every where!!

I have 2 children who attend the school and we have been extremely happy with the experience. The school offers an outstand education in a safe, nurturing and supportive environment. I would recommend the school to anyone.

The Montessori curriculum and one-on-one attention that my child receives has allowed her to excel. In Kindergarten (first month of the school year), she is already reading at a 2nd grade level. There are also numerous opportunities for exposure to technology that will allow her to be more prepared than other students when she moves on. The new head of school, Peggy Fear, has really transformed Charlotte Academy from a very good school to a great school.

Giving CA a 5 star rating is an understatement!! We have been with this school for the past 3 years now. Before that we have experienced public school with our oldest 2 for many years. CA does not compare to any other school that I have ever encountered. As far as the 2 poor reviews on this site I refuse to believe. ALL of the staff are beyond professional, caring, and loving! I would also like to say, in response to the review that states that this school caters to the "elite" and "wealthy"... that is just not true at all. My family as well as many others, are middle class and receive scholarships and financial aid in order to send our children to this school. The "wealthy" and "elite" families at CA are possibly the nicest, most down to earth people I have ever met. When we first sent our children to school here, I was concerned we wouldn't fit in. However the complete opposite happened, and we were more then welcomed with open arms. We did have a home visit, which made me and my children feel so special and comfortable with the teachers. I would, and have recommend this amazing school to every parent I know.

This school successfully prepares students for their future. Curriculum and learning activities are designed to teach our students how to think across all content areas, to collaborate, and to be socially and emotionally ready to be productive citizens. They maintain high standards in all content areas and deliver personalized education.

When my oldest son was three years old, we interviewed at Charlotte Academy. After we left the interview, I told my husband that we had to send our son there. We were excited to find a Montessori program in Port Charlotte. Two years later when his younger brother was ready for school, he started at Charlotte Academy, too, We love the school and so do our children! I cannot say enough positive things about the teachers, curriculum, students, and parents. It is a great school!

I suport the review written on 10 January 2014 by a parent that claims his daughter was locked in a bathroom. This school did nothing for my 4 year old child accept cause him to regress emotionally and cognitively. After pulling him out he told me his teacher put him on time out in cupboard, which he described in graphic detail. My husband visited the school and confirmed that this cupboard exsited. His teacher then embarked on a slandering mission and recruited one of her colleagues to make negitive comments about my child. This school is not as caring and committed to working class parents, it supports the wealthy... their classes are smaller because parents have come to realise that their kids would get a better education elsewhere.

When my daughter went to public school she was having such severe anxiety the entire 4th quarter we kept her home. She has been in Charlotte Academy for almost two years now. They have worked with my duaghter, molded her, uplifted and empowered her so now she realizes that she can do anything. She has come so far that she is part ot their after school theater program "CATS" and she is hoping for the lead. Please send your children to this school, my daughter is a better, stronger ,and smarter person because of Charlotte Academy and their staff. P.S. my little guy is in kindergarten there this year and he learned to read in about two weeks!

I am so happy that I decided to put my three year old child in Charlotte Academy, rather than a traditional daycare. I am amazed at his intellectual progress on a daily basis- from his math and reading skills, to his independence and character. I can't imagine sending him anywhere else! The class sizes are perfect and the Montessori method really seems to work for the children...I recommend this school to all of my friends!

Charlotte Academy provides a unique, superb educational experience in Charlotte County. Small class sizes, outstanding faculty and family atmosphere make CA stand out . Children develop a love of learning early on and are challenged at every level. Many go on to be in the top of their high school classes and go on to top notch colleges and universities. If you are looking for an alternative to public school, this is the place.

I can write a book on how this school goes above and beyond! My son has made such a huge improvement since starting Charlotte Academy from public school. He genuinely LOVES to go to school everyday! His academics have improved tremendously as well. The LOVE overflows from the staff onto the students. Could not be happier!
