I’ve been volunteering here for several years. The teachers and staff seem very supportive. The big negative is the building itself. It is old, dark and depressing. The children and staff deserve better.

Horrible experience! The principal is a complete bully and will cover up bullying teachers and staff on disabled students. Puts blame on others for her shortcomings. A new administration is badly needed.

It was a great school year. My one and only problem is the Lady at the front desk. She is extremely rude and NEVER ONCE ALL YEAR made me feel welcomed or even comfortable. I hate going into the office just because of her. She is not helpful, and doesn't seem to like her job, or kids. I'll gladly take that position if she doesn't want it. The school needs to either re-train her, or replace her. Because if she can't even respect the parent's then I'm sure she doesn't respect our kids. From Dominique Aubry

Love The Teachers! But the lady in the office could be more polite and at least act like she wants to be there.

My daughter has been at Pooler Elementary for 3 years and we have had wonderful teachers! We came to Pooler from Godley Station, at first I wasn't sure that we would like it but now we wouldn't think of going to any other school in the area. One thing I have noticed is Chatham County seems to put ALOT of $ into the new schools technology and equiptment while the older schools are kind of forgotten and rarely ever updated. We could use some of the newer equiptment in our school, but nonetheless Pooler teachers do a great job with what they have!

I had the worst time with this school. My son is not perfect by no means but this school was the worst thing for him. He got high honor roll at West Chatham each grading mark but when they changed when Godley Station started we got rerouted to Pooler Elementary he never even got honor roll just got in trouble for alot of unnecessary things. They stress way too much about everything but teaching our children. If I could go back I would of moved, argued anything to get my son to not attend Pooler Elementary. The good thing is they have an amazing speech therapist.

I would not recommend any parent to send their kids to this school. They have too many teachers with attitudes. I had a problem with my daughters teacher and this was her first year at school. She made her feel like she didn't care about questions she asked. Would not bring my kids to this again. They need to do better...not all the staff but too many for my taste to have attitudes like that and work with kids.!!!!!

Take it from a parent who paid for private school for 8 years prior, POOLER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS AWESOME! The administration is excellent, which makes the teachers proud to work there and they do an excellent job of inspiring these students! My son is very smart but lazy. I was concerned he would "dumb down" in the public school system vs private. I was wrong. His teacher and everyone else took such a proactive approach to not only teaching, but inspiring the kids! Pooler Elementary School is like a well kept secret treasure. In my opinion, my child did better at this little public school than he did in 8 years at Savannah Christian. He made nearly straight A's at both schools, but didn't have the faculty and teachers that care at the one I paid all of the money to for years. Also, in fifth grade, my son had 28 kids in his class at the private school, but only 17 kids (and a paraprofessional) at Pooler Elementary. If you are considering paying for private school and you are in the Pooler district, save your money for middle and high school! I couldn't have been any happier!

Excellent , caring teachers and support staff, always willing to field questions or concerns. Extremely vivacious in teaching tactics and truly genuine. All three of my children attended Pooler, the youngest is in the 5th grade now. Even through times of transition, attention given to students never foundered. Admin staff always pleasant and supportive. New year, new leadership. Attention to discipline is welcomed; it's amazing how much more can be taught/learned in an environment that is not disruptive!
