This school is so awesome and I believe this review previously written before my review is sounding like a teacher that got booted from Tikigaq School because of all the trouble this one particular teacher sticking her/his nose into everything!! yes her/him you have a right to your own opinion have at it :) BUT as far as I know TIKIGAQ SCHOOL is the best school I have ever been to and my children are also schooling at Tikigaq and they love there teachers and the Tikigaq staff:)

This is an exceedingly poorly run school in a chronically poorly run district. Administrators are bullies and the school board is checked out. It's been this way for years, and the low test scores reflect the low level of energy educators invest in this school. You can go down the list of things good schools do - RTI, PBIS, PLCs, meaningful collaboration, and even quarterly academic awards assemblies for elementary school students which EVERY school does; Tikigaq school does None of these things. Teacher turnover runs 30% to 60% per year with the better teachers usually leaving the most quickly. During the past 10 years, this school has gone through about 10 different principals: the district makes it impossible to effectively run the school. It's a crime, because the students and the community deserve much better.
