Great school for children that have learning disabilities and IEP's. They communicate effectively with parents and are very patient.

God Awful. It's a joke. The teachers are there because they wanted summers off. There is no education to be found here This is being nice.actually stay involved and pay attention to whats going on either end up homeschooling or sending them to the elementary school in the next town over (15 miles) or for those who can afford to will send them to the private schools. The teacher to student ration is 12:1. Its extreamly low for a reason.

This is my son's fourth and final year and it can't end soon enough. The principal is so out of touch with what is going on in this school. He has to defer to the vice principal for every thing when you go in to have a conference. And when a teacher reports a situation to her she just instructs the teacher to call the parent. 50% of the staff here could care less while the other half are pretty great. Unfortunately it's a roll of the dice who you get stuck with. My 8yr old wants to move to another state just to get to a better school system and we are seriously considering it. If you have any other options, do not come here. Especially if you aren't already a local. They will never accept and welcome your family even after 8 years

Low security. Anyone can walk in the front door which opens to the main hall ...busy with the ptter patter of little feet. Be nice to add a set of enterior doors and buzz people in once identified. Pocomoke is not exactually a low crime area.

Moving to a new area I was excited to learn the overall great impression the test scores give the school. I have children that were in 3rd grade and Pre-K. My child in Pre-K came home with scratches so I questioned his teacher about the incidents. The teacher became upset that I was questioning her and became irate. This was shocking and upsetting considering the teacher is teaching my child half a day! We met with the principal and teacher about the incident where the teacher actually walked out in the middle of the meeting angry!! My husband and I were in GREAT SHOCK to learn the teacher shows this type of behavior even in front of her boss! We later found out her husband is part of the school board so her behavior is excusable! My childs 3rd grade teacher was excellent!! Communicated well with parents and loved her possition and it showed! Overall I would recommend looking at the school from all points, not just test scores. A teacher must have a passion to teach and I feel my childs Pre-K teacher did not, but that is not the case for all the teachers at the school. There are some great teachers!
