Plainfield high school is just one of the many schools that make up the school district of Plainfield. A lot of people tend to complain about the school itself without having actually experienced going there, its always the hearsay, but I attended PHS. I had the opportunity to attend honor and advance placement classes, which I believe did their jobs; as well as teachers who helped me decide to attend university when I personally did not see my own potential, so now I can have the privilege to say I am an engineer. There are other schools in the district but just as this one is struggling to have teachers all the other schools are in the same position. I would see students who would transfer from these so called better schools like PAAAS or Barack and they would find themselves placed in the lower level classes and these same students would comment on how they would not even have a teacher for a whole school year. So this just goes to show that school isn't always what people make it seem like, whether you go to a highly rated school or not; with that being said I also believe that the schools need better funding to help their students and faculty be able to take a step towards great things.

When a bogus superintendent eliminated all supervisory positions, things got worse. The best people are always forced out.

this school is changing , still needs to be more competitive although, people should take it perspective current events and positive ones as well.

This school is by far the worst I've experienced in my effort to observe classrooms. I personally would never send my children there it is not at all a safe environment as well as the teaching is below average for students that need to succeed. I've seen myself that the children have outdated books that date as far back as the 1970's which is absolutely ridiculous how are children supposed to get a quality education if they are using books from the 70's? They are not allowed to take the books home with them which affect their classroom performance. I would compare the classroom setting to a mild circus there are students talking, running around the classroom, play fighting, doing each other s hair all while the teacher is trying to teach the classroom. I myself find it impossible to learn in that atmosphere!
