I have been extremely pleased with St Sylvester school. My child, currently in third grade, has attended the school since kindergarten. I have found the education to be excellent backed by core Christian values in a nurturing environment. This school year, the principal has added several optional extra-curricular activities, including monthly book club and weekly computer coding classes. In addition, the class standardized test scores consistently exceed the state average. I would highly recommend St. Sylvester School to family & friends.

I went to St. Sylvester's for K-2. My time there was well spent, and I have many fond memories. Unfortunately I attended public schools later and they were just awful.

St. Sylvester is the worst school in the Diocese. The parents are bully's. God forbid your child is better then some of bully parents children. Those families will try to push you out. They are mean miserable people. They care nothing about the boys in the school, the girls get everything. They have one good teacher, the math teacher, and she came after another school closed. The priest is useless, let's the bully parents walk all over him. Athletics is a joke. They won't let the qualified parents who can coach a sport, coach. They let the most unqualified people coach. If you love your child, DON'T SEND YOUR CHILD TO ST. SYLVESTER SCHOOL.

The parents at this school are like the PennState illumni people on steroids. They care only of basketball and nothing else. Its absaloutly sickning. The way you are treated depends on your last name and your last name only. I would not suggest this school All the students in the school are equal but some are more equal than others.

I went to St. Sylvester's for 9 years. After all that time I can say most of my experiences were good. This school is ideal for Elementary School students. As I went into middle school, I found that some of the teachers are not able to handle older kids. I also found that this school has the tendency to cater to the girls in the school since the entire staff is female. This school will also have lay-teachers that have no idea how to teach art or computer science teaching these classes and having the students that wish to learn know more than they do. This school also is completely inept in dealing with bullying. They have focused on good kids that make one bad decision instead of dealing with a girl that is bullying all the kids in her class to such an extent that they threatened to leave the school if nothing was done, and she still wasn't expelled. In all, this school is great for younger kids but if you have a child that will be going into middle school, you may want to search for another school.
