my son just turned 11 .he has aspergers as well as 4 or 5 other mental health diagnoses. He was sent to Pace from our Pgh Public schools where he had a very very rough time . he was afraid to go to school & repeatedly phyically assulted & harassed so all of our lives were a total nightmare due to these ongoing never ending problems at school. It took me over 4 yrs to get this placement for Pace approved & it was worth it all.he has been at Pace a year & is now in their partial hospital program & is doing great.the teachers are very nice & also very experienced with children like mine & you can tell.i have to say overall this is the best school ive seen for children like mine & they do alot of great work with them They also offered us the Pace extended school year summer program & im looking foreward to it summers are really bad for kids with these types of problems so I think if the Summer Program is anything like the school he will have a great time this summer & maybe not have the problems we have seen in previous years over summer break.

This school has helped my son in so many ways. He no longer has anxiety over going to school. His teachers, therapists, etc. are all very supportive, and caring people.
