I love my grandson Landon Thomas Blose (sophomore) and what Pineville High has facilitated in him.

2012-13 hasn't been a good year at Pineville High. I'm withdrawing my child at the end of the year. There were supposedly 200 extra students this year who transferred in from private schools. The school's administration wasn't prepared to handle this influx and made glaring errors with their schedules. The gifted program at PHS doesn't seem to engage or challenge its students, because at least five of them will be transferring to the Louisiana School of Math, Science and the Arts in Natchitoches next year. PHS is a magnet school for the arts, but if you aren't interested in theater, it isn't that exciting otherwise. Counting the days till the end of this school year...

I don't get a lot of encouragement on parent involvement. But I love the school. My child is very pleased with it. I would like to see the school involve them in more programs that will enhance toward college skills. If they are there already please find ways to involve the parents so we can encourage our children to enroll in such classes.

I graduated from PHS in 1991; now 22 years later, my only daughter is graduating from PHS on May 20, 2013. This school was great when I was there and my daughter loves it as well.

Pineville High School, in my opinion, is an outstanding school all the way around. I applaud them for their efforts in discipline, structure, and teaching teenagers how to be accountable and responsible young adults. It's absolutely necessary to instill these values in preparation for successful outcomes. I firmly believe in the saying "give an inch & they will take a mile". Call me old school, but good manners, respect for self & others, and discipline never hurts anyone. I am a class of '03 PHS alumni and I am so thankful for everything that I learned there. I am very proud of PHS and all that it manifests in it's student body. The academics, creative & performing arts dept., and various other opportunities speak for themselves. I have preschool aged children right now that I look forward to having attend PHS one day! Hands down, an EXCELLENT school!
