So far my daughter has done great in the Cambridge Program. We’ve had no issues with bullying/fights etc. Teachers seem to genuinely care about the students and want them to succeed.

The administration at Pinellas Park Middle School is TERRIBLE! They treat students and parents like trash!

Our son is in the 7th grade Cambridge program here at Pinellas Park. I am a teacher in Pinellas County. I had my doubts when our son started BUT he is doing great. The administration team and teachers have been very supportive and helpful. Your child’s experience is what efforts your child puts in and how you as a parent are involved. Overall great school!

Normal experience. Everything is normal or what you would think. Only thing is that there are lockers in Building 3 and Building 4 but we never use them. Problems being is that the school is pretty big. During 2020/2021 the water fountains got shut off and I don't think they will bring them back until the 2022-2023 school year. Other then the only water bottle refill station, or well the only water fountain/ water bottle refill station it's a pretty nice school. 7/10 would recommend.

Never in my 22 years of parenting have I had so much fear and anxiety due to a middle school. I lose sleep due to this school, as I am now completing this survey. When someone is seriously hurt or killed maybe someone will do something to make some changes.

I went to this school in 6th grade and i was bullied. I reported it and nothing was done about it. Also the teachers there didn't thoroughly explain the subjects. There was a lot of fights.

I've lived in Pinellas County since 1985 & I attended all sorts of public schools. I was a principal's list & honor roll student until I started middle school. Now I have a son that just started 6th grade here at PPMS & I'm so disappointed at how little has changed in the middle school environment. I wish I could say it was the teachers, administration, parents or students that were at fault but no 1 person is to blame for where it has ended up. It's everyone collectively. In society when someone breaks the rules or laws that person is fired, fined, arrested. Suspending kids from school when they don't want to be there anyway really isn't punishment. These kids are told the violence & disrespect is what is socially or environmentally acceptable in our schools, neighborhoods, county, state. In order to make it through you have to fall in line with the trouble makers or be in the line of fire & become a target. Fight or flight. You could blame the teachers or the students or the parents but that doesn't begin to fix any of the many issues. It's really sad. Bcuz these kids have no idea that being cool & fitting in aren't great attributes they need for the future. These kids don't know if they will have a place to live or food to eat from day to day let alone worry about college or the future. It's just sad at how little attention is paid to any of it.

This school has disappointed me greatly. The school needs to teach students about social issues such as bullying, drugs, etc. My daughter goes on and on about how badly she wanted to move because of the people there. The amount of peers around her get bullied far too much for not doing anything. The staff doesn't even take care of situations good. There are tons of student that get into fights and end up in jail. My daughter too has been a victim of bullying and was accused for harming someone when she didn't. With lack of evidence from the other person but many reports, she lost. Everyone in that school knows exactly who that girl is. To see my little girl depressed breaks my heart. This school doesn't deserve to have my daughter and she ended up wanting moving, so I allowed it.

It's not the school that's dreadful, it's the people there that makes the school appear bad. It's 2015 right now and there honestly was a lot of drama and fights. This school doesn't teach people about bullying, sexual harassment, or anything like that. You don't know how depressed I see people, including i, get depressed from most of the people here. This school even arrested someone for no reason without evidence but only because of the amount of reports put on that person. I see them bullying the poor friend of that person now and it's just horrible to see that going on. This school does not deserve to be a 'school'.

To clear up "rumors" Pinellas Park Middles School does not have many fights a day. Throughout the year there has been barely any fights, all in which were stopped within seconds by the administrators. Some teachers lack skills of teaching students, but most are willing to help students learn. The reason for low test scores is because students are simply not understanding or not willing to learn (that and state standards). Most of the problem isn't with the school, it's with parents who need to support their child's education and discipline them.

The middle school ages are some of the strangest years of life. Kids undergo changes and within the span of 2 years go from little kids to young adults. Their hormones are raging and they do not know what to do with themselves. They need support! I am a middle school teacher and find it appalling how teachers are bashed. Teachers do the best they can with the resources or lack there of that they are given. There is only so much they can do.

This school is absolutely horrible! Most of the teachers are overwhelmed or disinterested with the exception of a few. The children are completely out of control and the administration does nothing to discipline them. There are many fights daily and nothing is done to stop them. My child has been attacked several times and the principal always says he can't see anything on the camera footage. Today my child was attacked again and I won't be sending him to another day of bullying there. I'm pulling him out!

I am happy with where the school is headed.. If you are not then you can move and end up at even worse schools.. Do you realize that they have added 9 more schools to the list of schools that are now under the watchful eye of the State.. And the 4 you so fondly refer to is from the reviews on here and as you know personally.. Only people that have an issue waste their time on these threads.. Have yo been to some of the last few school function?? The parent involvement is at an astonishing high level.. This school had its issues in the past.. Its not something you can fix overnight but you need to realize that its not only the teachers that need to change.. the parents who use school as a babysitter need to spend more time helping their kids.. Thats where the change starts.. If you child is failing then work with the child to find out whats going on.. Middle school is a culture shock for most and many kids stumble no matter the school.. And if you are a concerned parent, you will know that...

Yeah! for the person that criticized my grammar. I thank you for that. as a parent you should have been concern about the school not my grammar. Did you see the number that this school rated? 4 out of 10 and your satisfied? Yes I don't speak perfect English or used a proper grammar but I can assure you I don't just drop off my kid to school to get free time. I send my child to school to learn and get the best educations. Your opinion doesn't mean anything to me and by the way I didn't post that other review as I will never call the principal a clown. Though the recorded phone calls announcements are clownish and annoying hope he change it soon. But if you are a parent and happy with the school then good luck to your children and to the rest of the kids that attends Pinellas Park.

My child was a straigh A student that recieved national honors before attending PPMS. Less then a year later, she's in danger of failing 2 courses. The teachers are lazy and apathetic to the children and the principle is a clown (The recorded phone calls announcements are clownish and annoying). I can't wait to move because there is NO WAY my child will spend anothe second in that HORRIBLE school! To top it off, My child came home with head lice. We got it taken care of and kept he out of shcool and reported it to the staff. They said they didn't have procedures to handle headlice outbreaks and nor did they seem to care that we reported it.
