We moved to Pickens to go to Ambler school because of the excellent ratings and feedback we'd received. We love this school and would recommend it to anyone!! The teachers, principal and staff are wonderful and second to none!! They welcomed us with open arms and embraced us as part of their Ambler family!! The teachers and principal all met with us on our first day, and Dr. Lewis walked our son to his homeroom to welcome him to his new class. Everyone is very involved in the school and the children's learning experience is a personal accomplishment for all. This is the kind of school that parents dream about their children attending!

If you are a typical working parent, and your child is not in the top of the class, they are pushed to the side and forgotten about. If you are a frequent face at the school, maybe its different, but even as a parent I was treated as a person of no importance. I will be taking my children out of this school. The principal is arrogant and must have things HIS way. The third grade teachers are not good at communication with parents.

I'm on the PTA Board at Ambler. I have 2 boys. One is going to be in K5 & the other in 2nd grade. I've been with Ambler for 3 years now. I LOVE this school! I'm originally from Ca. Now that I have children I can't stand to think about them going to a Ca. school. Ambler is a small school with under 300 children. The teachers are wonderful. The principal is a Godsend. The students & parents are great. It's almost like being at a private school. The children really get alot of individual attention.
