Best school ever. I have been to 3 schools prior to Herrera and they were NOTHING compared to this school. Teachers are great, their is so many opportunities for your kid not to mention the fact that everyone is sooo nice and caring, Imma miss herrera :( but take it from a student, I am 65789% overjoyed with Herrera and if I could, I would spend all of high school there too :P

The mission of Herrera School is Academic, Artistic and Linguistic Excellence, this drives everything we do! I feel so fortunate to be a part of a staff that has so many caring and dedicated teachers. I am constantly impressed by the commitment of so many of the students as well, they demonstrate such a desire to learn and improve.

this school is amazing the princaple is very dedicated to improving the school hes first year here. we have the best comunity worker and an amazing jr high math teacher mr. cabezas. oh and we have the GREATEST special ed teacher scott scheese he has helped my sons alot and caught them up

I really like how Silvestre S Herrera School Staff are with my children they are really good teachers they help my kids learn alot of stuff and they get alot of help if they dnt understand a subject. I like that my daughter likes going to after school turtering because is helping her alot with her math, social studies...etc i really dont think this school has to improve in anything they are a great school and the teachers really know what they are teaching to my kids. thank you....

i like this school because is a school that really worries about my childrens learning progress, i ther special nessesaties. And all the Staff are really nice, and when someone has questions about there child to see how they are learning the teachers are allways there to help.

All the staff are really good workers in teaching and on doing there job. The kids really learn alot in this school. They also have alot of activites to help our children learn. in my opinion my children have learn alot of subject that they are going to need in the future we are happy and secure in this school.

There is a strong commitment from the teachers to create a safe, welcoming, and creative environment for the students. I feel happy walking through the halls seeing the students safe and ready for their next step in life.

This is a reply to the below comment by a parent dated on 8/6/13. Your junior high child was placed in math intervention because she has been defined by numerous assessments as being 2-4 grade levels behind in math. The school has made the decision to address her deficiencies in junior high to prepare her for academic success in high school. Math literacy is important for her to be able to access science and to function as a fiscally responsible adult. For the record, Herrera school does not offer any reading or math courses after school, but does offer a study hall for students needing assistance in homework. Your child does participate in one 50-minute period of fine arts per day. Her participation in math intervention solely depends her progress and she will be exited from intervention once she performs at a satisfactory rate on in class assessments and district benchmarks. Please encourage your child to view math as a subject that will only benefit her for the rest of her life. Your child has teachers and administrators that care about her so much that they use their lesson prep time to provide her with extra attention and instruction.

This school is horrible!!!!!! My Child is in an intervention group for math! My child takes math and reading courses after school! She signed up for an elective for PM and they keep her back from going to her elective! If this school is so involved for participation in the Fine Arts, LET THE KIDS PARTICIPATE! Can't you teachers do it after school!?
