If your planning on going here as someone from 7th or 8th grade, I would personally recommend going to an actual middle school instead. It seems like at this school the people in middle school were just added so they could get an extra buck. I've only been at this school for 1 year, but based on what people say this school is way better at teaching elementary than middle school. Some of the teachers here are nice but the ones that aren't give unfair punishments towards students and usually they punish the entire class for something one student does. Even though some of the teachers suck, some of them have been the best teachers I've had.

My daughter has been going to Copper King for 4 years now and we’ve enjoyed school so far. Her first year was rough because her teacher was sick and absent a lot which caused her to get behind and she still struggles now. And this year my daughter is now in third grade and doing school completely online due to covid. My son, who has Autism and needs extra assistance, started this year in kindergarten all online so of course that’s not ideal but they are making the best of it. The teachers are online all day with the students and are doing a great job navigating through the world of online school. But I will be so happy when they can go back on person.

Being in a remote setting has been very challenging but the teachers and staff have been amazing!They keep us updated constantly and go above and beyond to make sure everything goes as smooth as possible.

My son has been attending this school since Kindergarten. Last class year 2018 was a much more interactive year for obvious reasons and his teacher Mrs. Utter was fantastic. Very caring and prompt and always hands on with the class. This class year has been at home and less interactive and hands on.Overall, despite the stay home orders, it has been a positive year and the teachers at this school are doing amazing jobs at virtual teaching. My sons experience, in my opinion, has been beneficial the best it can be given the circumstances. I do look forward to having him return to school and re-engaging in person to person interaction and getting back together with his school friends as I'm sure most parents are. I feel the more hands on the teachers can be with their students, the greater the education, development and social skills will be for all returning in person. That is just my opinion. Copper King Elementary is a good school and I've had a positive experience with my sons teachers thus far.

I have two of my children attending copper King elementary for the last couple years and I will say these are the two best academic School years my children have had the teachers are wonderful they care about the students they go out of their way to help the students the staffing at the schools and the district is amazing such great health with anything and everything you ever need there was just a call away or click of a button away and beyond pleased with the school and all the effort from the teachers and helping my both children

We highly recommend Copper King Elementary! We have 4 students who love their school. Although, we wish our children could be attending in person learning versus virtual. Other than that the Copper King Staff is amazing!

The school is great, I do however disapprove of the online schooling, but under the circumstances, my son and nephews teachers are doing great to the best of there abilities to provide individual attention and to be there for all students when class is in session. All my children (starting in 2010) have attended Copper King. Through my years at Copper King, there has always been good communication from the teachers as well them providing support and compassion for the children. The teachers have done a great job navigating these new waters of remote learning. They are keeping the kids accountable, just as though they were physically in class. I feel like my kids are safe while on campus.

All the kids in my family attend or have attended Copper King Elementary School. From Kindergarden all the way to 8th grade graduation. Currently my twins are in 7th grade. Since March of last year education changed dramatically for all schools, students, teachers, and faculty. Copper King has gone above and beyond the call of duty making sure the kids are getting the most out of their studies and also making them feel cared about. They have put on parades driving through the neighborhoods tossing stuffed animals, and waving safely from their vehicles to the families of their students. My eyes tear up thinking about the true dedication this school has towards the education of our children. We are all adapting to life and its far from easy. I wouldn't put my children in any other school! My nieces, my nephew, my twins and my family are Copper King Coyotes forever!!! Great school awesome teachers and caring faculty.

Copper King is a very good school, my 2 son’s attend there since they started kindergarten, the teachers are remarkable and I’m very satisfied with the learning process. Mrs. Billow and Mrs. Melgosa are very remarkable teachers .

My son has been a student at this school for six years, he feels safe at this location and feels the teachers are there to support him. I was nervous about online school but the curriculum has kept my son busy and I feel he is not alone on a computer trying to figure things out. Overall I think the school is great for the community.Thanks

I’ve had three children of mine attend Copper King and I’ve never had any issues. The teachers communicate very well with me as well as my children, and they always make it a point to go above and beyond!

My daughter has been going to Copper King for two years . She has improved so much and is becoming more independent and she is making friends in her own way. She gets so excited when she sees her Teacher Mrs Edwards and support staff online or when we pull out the laptop because she knows she will see the staff and her friends. She is talking so much more and it is more than just repeating. She is using some of her words more purposefully. We loved her therapists as well. They are so helpful in ways to accomplish her goals. We feel very blessed and feel this school doesn’t get as much positive recognition as they should. Mrs Edwards is always so helpful and understanding you can really tell the kids are like her babies and she loves them so much.

I’ve had 4 kids attend this school from 2006 to present. 1 a sophomore at ASU now. The teachers throughout the years have been exceptional! Their commitment to their students’ success is above expectations. The teachers my kids have had throughout the years are lovely. They listen to my concerns, they communicate, they divide their attention equally to each student. They’re compassionate, kind and truly care about their students.

My three children have gone to this school for years and we have had a wonderful experience. We have had help with speech therapy and teachers who have really listened to what our kids needed. During the pandemic, the school's leadership was thoughtful and cautious when it came to plans for distance learning and I feel like they have been incredibly supportive! Love our school!

Copper King has been my kids school for the past 6 years. The teacher's are always going above and beyond, their top priority is the children's education. The communication between teacher's and parent's is great. Even with distance learning, the teacher's and staff have made it easy for parent's and student's to stay in touch and help out with the student's needs. Overall Copper King is a great school.

My Daughter has been attending Copper King for 2 years now. She is special needs and is low functioning. The past 2 Years she had the same Teacher Mrs Edwards. Since she has been in her class I have seen some major accomplishments. Mrs Edwards at her staff or not just teachers were educators they are the children’s friends and second family. They treat all the children with such love and dedication. I cannot say enough about copper king or my Daughters staff. This goes beyond just her classroom staff this includes all her support staff from PT, OT, speech and her all the other support staff and Resources that are offered to her. Another thing that is greatly appreciated is the amazing Communication between the school and home. My Daughter Kenzie absolutely loves her teachers and the staff that work with her.

I attended this school when it first opened its doors. I was even part of the students that got to pick the name of the school during its construction as I was being transferred from Garden Lakes. I am deeply saddened to say that my experiences at this "school" were nothing but terrible. The bullying situation was always out of hand, the curriculum was appalling and most of the teachers had zero care about us as students, or even as people, for that matter.In the sixth grade, our teacher was constantly late, some times up to an hour, and we ended up spending that time lined up outside the classroom door waiting for her to arriveWhen "graduation" day came, I honestly could not do long division let alone fractions and above, my language arts skills were all but non-existent (many of my friends and peers were in the same boat as I), and yet I was still able to graduate out. This was (and still is) ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. My parents made many requests to have me get additional help during and even up through the final days since my peers and I were so far behind, yet the school always dismissed them.If it wasn't for my parents spending tons of their own money to teach me everything Copper King failed to teach me and my fellow students afterward, I don't even want to imagine where I might be today.Unfortunately, a lot of my peers never got the extra help my parents gave me afterward, and even to this day, they are struggling with the results of extremely poor education.I sincerely hope this school has turned around since my days there.
