My son graduated from TCHS in 2017 and my daughter will graduate in 2020, I've always had positive experiences with the School. I am a School Employee as well and I see the inside work and dedication it takes to run a successful School.

I graduated from TCHS many years ago. Unlike some the other commenters on this page, I understand now that it was MY responsibility to prepare myself for college --- backed up by my parents. Although I was an average student with a 2.7 GPA in high school, I graduated from college, completed Marine Corps officer training, got married, had three children, completed a 23-year Marine Corps career, and have started a second career. I reflect fondly on my experiences, teachers and coaches that helped me start my adult life.

I am a former student of TCHS and now a college student. From my experience I can say TCHS did nothing to help me prepare for the next level. With the exception of Mrs. Armstrong's class, I never took a single note a TCHS. I was in no way prepared to succeed at the university level. I graduated some time ago and hopefully things have changed for the better. The only two teachers that ever really expressed the importance of education to me were Mrs. Armstrong and Mrs. Ruth Harvey. Perhaps if I would've had a few more classes with them things would have been different.

As a former student of TCHS I feel I was cheated out of a good high school education. While it was sufficient to make it to the next level, I was never taught to work harder. I graduated with honors and never felt challenged seeing as all my classes were all aimed simply to pass our standardized exams. Even once I took AP classes, which was the first year TCHS offered them, I learned nothing and every student in both AP classes received failing grades on our AP exams. If you want an average child, then this is the school to go with. If you want them to excel, look elsewhere.

I am sorry that the last reviewer felt that he/she received a substandard education at TCHS. It is evident from the overall outcome that something good must have come from his experience there. This is evidenced by his/her grammar and admission to graduate school. I am a graduate of TCHS who now teaches at the facility. I have two children who are recent products of the school. I could not be more pleased with the instruction and guidance provided by TCHS. While one of my children has graduated with honors from a four year university the other is currently in graduate school. Teens now are subject to many outside influences at any institution. Yet, I have found TCHS to be highly attuned to the needs of its students.
