Parkridge is an excellent school. The teachers, admin and parents work together to make this school feel like a community. My daughters have always been known, and treated well. The academic expectations are high, but not unreasonable. My kids are very happy and have met great kids along the way. Parental support at our school is unparalleled. We have lots of parent volunteers on campus, and parents are always willing to support their child and their classroom. The teachers are excellent. They care about my child and the greater classroom community. I always feel like they have taken the time to get to know my kid and differentiate to meet all needs. Teachers communicate well and teach strong lessons daily. Homework has never been too much. I love how all the teachers work together to make sure that all students are getting their needs met.

We love Parkridge! I have one daughter who has been there since Kinder and she is now in her 8th grade year. She has a sense of belonging, a love of learning, and strength of character that has been developed as a direct result of her experience at this school. I have another daughter who is in 2nd grade and she is having an excellent experience as well. The sense of community and support is incredible. All of the teachers and staff genuinely care about the students, and their work ethic and commitment to providing the best education possible, is exceptional. I feel so blessed that my children will always look back on their elementary school years with pride and appreciation. Parkridge is truly something special.

I have two kids at this school and we all love it! The teachers and staff are all very friendly and caring. I feel comfortable knowing that even though I am not there my kids are in good hands. Teachers are very helpful and will always address any concerns the best they can. Everyone always has a smile on their face when you walk through the doors. My kids are learning so much in a supportive environment.

I have two children enrolled at Parkridge, one in Jr. High and the other in elementary. We have switched schools 4 times due to my job and this is the first school my children have been to that challenge them. My older son is gifted and like every year I voiced my concerns for his learning in fear of him being bored. Immediately I was called when they too saw want I was talking about and asked if I wanted my son to skip 7th grade math and move into 8th grade. I appreciate not being brushed to the side and actually having this be addressed. My son had a wonderful year and is looking forward to next year. The Jr. High staff also allowed my son to be himself; he is a learner on the "move" as he prefers to be pacing, or perching to be fully engaged. My elementary son tested gifted this year. I look forward to the advancements he will make and what the school will do for him as well. My younger son has focusing issues; the 2nd grade team actively worked with me to find strategies to help him stay on task. They listened to my suggestions and tried them. I appreciate their efforts put in by this team. I would recommend this school to anyone, and am excited for what the next 6 years will bring while we continue our journey at Parkridge.

I have been going to this school since kindergarten and am currently in eighth grade, and trust me when I say that things have taken a turn for the worst. Starting last year, things have changed completely! The new staff, including the principal, have tried to mold our school when our former principal had had it right already! Students are now reckless and break many rules like no food, dress code, and no cell phones. I was refused for advanced math as well when I nearly passed the Algebra One test (I got over 60%) and got a 99 on my 7th grade math AIMS. In my opinion, I believe that our assistant principal, Mrs. Wright, should be our principal, as she has an excellent vision of what a great school should be. Whenever there are behavioral issues, she is he one who deals with it.

I think the first grade teachers are all crazy, maybe some exceptions. Both of my children are very smart and did great in kindergarden, however they transition these kids from having a fun learning environment to way to serious 1rd grade with zero group settings and they give way too much homework and the children are doing homework dawn tell dusk, it is crazy!! let them be kids.. have fun a little and learn at the same time

The teachers at Parkridge work diligently with their students on a daily basis. They love all their students! They want all students to be successful and reach their highest potential while holding them accountable. Teachers need parents' support and attention to their children's academics. Teachers have their hands tied when parents do not support the teacher when they are trying to hold the child accountable, and the parents do not agree with the teacher or choose to hold their own child accountable. It's crucial for parents and teachers to work collaboratively for the child's sake. The teachers are the best I've ever worked with and I'm fortunate to have my own children here as well.

Attended community meeting with reference to rezoning areas for Parkridge due to overcrowding. Was so disappointed when many of the Parkridge parents had no regard for other Parkridge students who live a bit further away and suggested they get rezoned, like we don't matter. This section has been zoned for Parkridge a very long time. The entitlement attitude was shocking, even though we wound up not being rezoned, would rather not stay at Parkridge with the sense that some areas are substandard. We are transferring to Peoria Traditional School (a PUSD school) where we are welcome.

I was looking into this school because it is an excelling school, it is close to my home, and I would like my child to go to a school closer (we drive an hour each way to his current school.) but the front office staff is absolutely horrible!! They turned me away saying I was not in the district and that they only took their own children (meaning kids in the district) I thought it was completely rude and uncalled for! Then I called the district office just to find out I am in the district!!! The women in the front office could have been a lot more helpful, or even polite! Needless to say my child will remain at his other school. It may be far but ALL of the staff are polite, and respectful.. and those are the people I want around my children!!

My daughter has been attending Parkridge for 3 years, and I have been extremely impressed with the level of commitment from the teachers and staff. Communication with parents is just incredible. The principal and vice principal are awesome. The kids love the principal and he is a part of everything! It is great to see. My only complaint has been regarding the front office staff. They have never been attentive when parents come in, and are sometimes even rude. It is a shame because it makes this otherwise excellent school look bad to those who don't know the rest of the staff. As for the rest of you, nothing but kudos! We love Parkridge!

My children started Parkridge in November of last year. I have a 1st grader and 2nd grader. They both have excelled in their grade level. The principal is remarkable. He really and truly cares for the students and teachers. All the teachers care for each student. The teachers make sure that every, I mean every student is successful. Lots of Parent involvement. Anyone that says other wise just is not around the school enough to know what is going on. Every teacher is happy and excited to go to work. I love Parkridge.
